If you add funds to your wallet with a new CC, you will be locked out of the market for a week. Been locked out since day 1. Other people are having the same issue. Just read the Steam forums & see for yourself.

Yup, I've been waiting for 2 weeks cause I decided I'd need more money for the sale but then the ban time got extended for another week...

I actually just did this intentionally, sold off my forgotten FIFA coins via PayPal and used that to fund my Steam wallet. Burnt myself out on trading cards during the Beta and this is the perfect excuse to stop giving a ****.

Has nothing to do with CC. It's a normal protection service which happens with PayPal too.

It's either-or, simply if you use a different method of payment than you have previously

Wrong. I always used PayPal.

You aren't comprehending, we mean when you use a funding method that is different than one you have always used before. So if you've always used PayPal you won't be affected. For example, if you suddenly funded your account with your CC as opposed to your PayPal account, you too would be have your market privileges suspended.

I've always used PayPal and I was indeed affected by it.

Didn't I already say everything? I used PayPal before. Then I wanted to use PayPal again and I got the time off from the market. I never changed my payment method, yet was affected. This is why I said it doesn't matter. By my experience, if you add money to your walllet you have this week to wait. And I doubt that this was only done in my case.

Hi, I'm wondering if someone has experienced my situation. I went to go buy Mark of the Ninja, but decided to use up some money in my PayPal account rather than wallet. Problem was, my billing address was blank.

It's the same paypal account I've used in the past so I don't know if re-entering my address will be fine as far as market access is concerned.

I think I last used PayPal on 16 Jul 2012, so just past a year, maybe that's why it cleared. I had thought you lost market access if you hadn't bought with external payment in a year, but thankfully it looks like I imagined that.

Why do people need access to the market so bad? Buying/selling cards?
