I was really looking foreward to this game, but havent heard anything in a long time. And yes I know that THQ became bankrupped, and Ubisoft bought the game, but why havent we heard anything? Is the game set on pause or is the project just been put down? (sorry for my bad english)

Last I heard was that the game was almost done, so Ubisoft will most likely not be able to f**k up the entire game...

Obsidian is still working on it. Nothing has changed, but Obsidian has also been working on other projects.

THQ was going out of business and it's very possible they could have cut corners on certain areas such as QA. It would be in Ubisoft's best interest to treat this as a brand new game with absolutely no testing and go through all the regular steps. It's also possible they may be looking to port it to WiiU which would obviously add some more time.

You might be right, just makes me sad having to wait so long for this game.

I was actually unaware that the title ever had a release date (I have had it in my wish-list at GameStop.com just to remind me to keep an eye out for it; it's pretty much what I do for most games... speaking of which I had forgotten "Deadly Premonition - The Director's Cut" was coming out at the end of this month... I better put this $50 gamecard to good use and pre-order it; a quite bizarre and actually rather ugly game that I played on the X360 years back... I highly recommend it if you have a PS3 and are into strange mystery games). It might be complete, but whenever it was featured in a magazine it kind of seemed like they were aiming for Q2 2013 the whole time, so that's what I've been expecting.

I'm not even a huge South Park fan (although I enjoy most episodes, it's a show where I see it when I see it - I don't have it set to record on my DVR or make sure to catch it during it's first airing), however I was blown away with Obsidian's ability to capture the look and feel of South Park (which in an interactive form is much more enjoyable to me than a static form... ugh no more Family Guy games please, that is something I just want to watch). Also besides Obsidian being Obsidian, Matt and Trey are pretty hardcore into gaming and I think the technology is finally at a point where it can really come together (sorry fans of "Chef's Luv Shack", but the PS1-era was not the right time =p). I'm actually looking forward to this title, not as a South Park game, but as a fully fleshed out RPG that will likely provides some laughs along the way.

You see the same in the game as I do. It doesn`t look like a cheap game inspired from the show, but a game taken directly out of it.

I think that they had rights problems, notice that in Steam Page it still says that THQ is publisher.
