I hate writing essays...

So in procrastination of my essay due tomorrow, I created a puzzle! Yay! Hopefully it is not too difficult.

1st Letter: A movie just came out with a bunch of _ heroes.
2nd Letter: My essay is on people who are , based on a book by Mary Roach.
3rd Letter: Forever Flying Forward For Flowers.
4th Letter: Nothing comes before this.
5th Letter: Most essential element for life.
6th Letter: My favorite element, although it may hurt to get too close to it.
7th Letter: The movie mentioned in hint for 1st letter.
8th Symbol: Equal

All is uppercase except for symbol and 4th letter. I know there are 8, you have to do something with the code you get from this (which should make brute forcing harder, although I doubt you will need it).

Hints:

  • Number of _'s represents the number of letters in "fill in" word.
  • Always choose the first letter when the answer to a hint is a word.
  • There are not many elements.

P.S. It is really hard to come up with hints to the letters. Maybe I am just not creative enough but I tried to do various types of hints.

If you do puzzles a lot it is a common trick to do the final step.

That just made me more confused.

EDIT: More specifically, your hint doesn't really make sense...grammatically? I think it's missing a word. If not, then it's meant to be written like that, and I still have no clue where to go.

Oh, I see now. However, you can't really tell how many _'s there are, unless you look very, very carefully, and strain your eyes. You might want to add spaces in between each one?

So one trick could be to use your mouse to highlight it, and it will jump at the next underline. Or copy and paste. I could add spaces but then it might make things more confusing (as in, maybe multiple words or something).
