Good day people. I am a very fan of RPG games, and now i want to start to play RPG games again. So i need your advice of what games should I start to play. This is my library:
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198047145937/games/?tab=all&sort=playtime

I want to play in this order:
1) Expedition:conquistador
2) Risen Series
3)gothic Series
4)Two Worlds 2
5)Rise of Argonauts

So tell me your suggestions, should I play those games? Feel free to tell me other games (just RPG). I am looking a good experience, I dont care if game has bad or good graphics or its a grame from 90's.

Well I created an "invited only" giveway by error, so i going to share with you for taking your time to answer this discussion. GL HF
(I guess I only have tu share the link, IF not tell how to share it correctly,)

RPG that I shoud play(Poll Requires Games to Vote)

View Results
Expeditions: Conquistador
Gothic Universe Edition
Rise of the Argonauts
Risen 3 - Titan Lords
Two Worlds II HD

It seems that I need to own all of them to vote. They are very different. Expeditions is party tbs with few rpg elements. Rise of argonauts is action adventure with very few rpg elements. I haven't played Risen 3, and I don't like Two Worlds (maybe I should give them more time). The only games worth playing from that list, from my point of view, are Expeditions and the Gothic games (and if you want to play an RPG, Gothic is what you should go for).

PS: From your library, I'd play: Drakensang, Deus Ex, Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Arkania.

Funny, I have a lot of those games, but can't vote in the poll because I don't have the right editions....

Anyways, I personally liked the Gothic series a lot, though I haven't played the latest ones yet.

You don't list the Elder Scrolls series, which I think is also great, though again I haven't played the latest.

It's an MMORPG, but I still have to throw in Lord of the Rings Online, as I think it's an excellent game that balances a lot of things well.

I've played Morrowind a lot, and I think it's a stellar game, especially with all of the community content that's available for it, but...it's SUCH an open world that I've honestly never completed more than about 25% of the main story line. I keep going back in every couple of years, and I have fun, but then I get lost in the enormity of it, lose the story line, and eventually lose interest again. I keep promising myself that I'll complete it someday, as soon as this community enhancement is complete, or that one. :)

Gothic however, I have played through to the end multiple times and enjoyed every time.

EDIT: I just read that you've played the first one, so yeah, I'd try to solve your G2 issues and go with that one.

I think you should play Guild Wars 2. The base game is free since 29th August.

I didn't play all of them but I want to say one thing. I was deeply disappointed by Risen 3, in my honest opinion it was overrated game based on the hype built with the previous two, I didn't like it at all, I didn't even have willings to complete it due to awful story, awful combat and really boring gameplay.

I'm sad that you don't have Witcher 3 in your library, as this is the best RPG I ever played. Consider starting from gothic then, it's a good title that won't disappoint you.

Let me suggest you Gothic 2! :)
It's a great game and I had lots of fun playing it years back. If you don't care about graphics (well guess you shouldn't even play Gothic 2 then) you should also try Gothic 1. But the second one is my favourite :)

Have you considered:
Last Remnant - yet to get this one, but i hear its great.
Witcher 1 and 2 - yet to play those, damn backlog
Mass Effect 2 - might be best out of 3, depending on personal preferences. All in all epic shooter/rpg in space.
Rune (as much rpg as Rise of Argonauts imo, both are more like tpp action game, but still rune is great)
Saints Row 3 - very funny, enjoyed it more than any gta, if you can forgive side activities being kinda weak.

I like almost every game that have an RPG elements (I like to take my own decisions and that influence the end of the game), but i am not a fan of Turn Base Games, thats why I dont continue playing Last Remnant. I know that in my list is expedition but I like the subject of history

I like to recomment Spiderweb software to RPG lovers like you. (turn-based tactical fighting, not action)

Risen series if garbage, don't play them. That includes Risen 3.

Two Worlds 2 also sucks. Don't play that either.

I have no idea about Expeditions Conquistador. I guess it's nice if you're into this short of games. I'm not.

Gothic is ok, but I personally wasn't a fan.

Rise of the Argonauts is what I'd recommend you, but be aware of the fact that it isn't exactly an RPG, but an action-rpg. The fighting system is completely real time and combo-based, very of God of War-like (spectacle fighter game), but it does have a lot of talking and interacting. But what's really interesting and unique about it is the character leveling up system is religion based. You gain favor with each of the 4 gods for whom you have praying altars on your ships and when you gain enough favor from one of them, you can pray to him and receive abilities in their areas of expertise: special defensive maneuvers and smacking people with your shield for Athena, as well as water magic, if I'm not mistaking, healing magic and spear fighting for Apollo, sword fighting, agility based combos and air magic for Hermes and destructive fire magic combined with brutal mace fighting for Ares. What's even more interesting is that it has a dialogue system similar to Mass Effect, which was a big deal at the time and you gain favor with the 4 gods by choosing the conversation options that best reflect their respective virtues: bluntness, courage and brutality for Ares, lying, subterfuge and negotiation for Hermes, intelligence and wisdom for Athena and blind righteousness for Apollo. Problem is that they kind of fucked this up by indicating exactly which god each conversation option will grant favors with, Thus not giving you the chance to think for yourself. Annoying, I know, but you can overlook it. All in all, it's a really easily overlooked and underrated game that deserves to be played. It has some problems, but it's worth it just for the leveling up system.

As for suggestion, the RPGs that we both own are the same that we both have yet to play unfortunately :/. Best of luck to you :D.
