That game is 5 years old. Still, they are selling it a very high price point. Meanwhile, the most recent DOOM is only 2 years old and it's only bucks. Fuck Rockstar.

Of course he is, the demand is huge even after 5 years so there is no reason to lower the price. Their goal is the highest possible profit in the end.

People that are waiting to buy it at a lower price are less likely to buy microtransactions. As long as there is more than enough demand for that price there is no reason to lower your price. Not to mention that if you want to play online and buy microtransactions you have to buy it while its in the trends and people are still playing it so in the end you will have to buy it at full price. Its a win-win situation for the publishers-developers.

You waited 5 years for a deep sale then spent the saved money buying gta V cash?
Comment has been collapsed.
From the publisher's standpoint, there is absolutely no reason why they should reduce prices. GTA V has been on the top selling games charts for years, which means people are still buying it at the current price - While they certainly could reduce it further, there is no logical reasoning behind doing so.
One thing to keep in mind; The retailer/publisher is not your friend. The gaming industry is a business, and businesses often put profit over all things, especially when said profit comes without effort (best-selling game, for example). You might not like it, but that's how things work. :P

i haven't touched it since it re-released it. but im sure they also have a team involved with updates, plus maintaining servers. Its not like a game that is finished.

he is, and you are making no sense.
Bethesda is no different. They wanted to bring a good mp experience to Doom, so it would keep selling. As is, people get DOOM for SP, which might have sold like crazy when it came out, but by now most people have moved on and waiting for what comes next

To repay the customers for the money they did earn and no dlc expansion and online crap.
Well I usually I have high standards for this so that it may only apply to me.
The game is 5 years old.
If they want more money from those that didn't buy because the price of 60$ for that game is crap being 5 years old they should sell it at the price of other AAA 5 years game period.
If they don't want, then I don't care :D.

Well simple economics, you sell so many units so lower the price to sell more.
It seams that all want to defend the price for some reason o yeaaa the popular thing,
As I said before, it is better to sell 100M at 20$ then 10M and 100$.
Comment has been collapsed.
The demand is enough to keep the price steady so its stupid to lower the price.
Comment has been collapsed.
Stupid to you and kids but this is basic economic the fact that you buy this it doesn't make this exception of a model the standard.
This is more like on the apple side, a bad example again expensive and not so technical advanced but people will buy because well not that say informed or just ignorant to not say harsher words :)).

Again that is false, lowering a price brodens the market simple as that.
If you are correct they why did they drop the base game from 60 to 30.
Why do they do progressive discounts 33%, 50%, 66% etc.
I really don't understand why this is complicated.
There is so much people that you can sell the game for 60EUR, I for example will not buy that even tho I have the money because it is not worth more then 15EUR for a 5 years old game that had the model that it had PERIOD.

Thats correct, thats how economics works and the theory of supply and demand is the simplest theory that every college will teach you. If the demand is enough to keep the curve at the same position at price x there is no point to lower your price. If the demand cant hold the price steady there will be a decrease on the price as it happened on gta v some weeks ago.

As I said before, it is better to sell 100M at 20$ then 10M and 100$.
If that's true, of course. But what if the team that works on this stuff estimates sales of 100M at 20$ and 80M at 100$? What would you price your product, then? You're not stupid so you would sell at 100$. Do you think Rockstar doesn't perform any kind of market analysis to know what's the best price for maximum profits?
People that are willing to buy the game at, for example, 10$ won't buy it now, but Rockstar knows they will buy it in the future when the reduce the price that much, and they know a lot of people will buy it now at 15$, so they sell it for that amount for now.

Let's see it was 20 EUR in summer sale now is 30 EUR :))).
It was 66% discount. it will be max 50% now if not 33% to max some more billions :))
Also this is Rock star social club crap so no 33% from Steam but again max profits.
So draw me purple if I don't buy with this business model :))).

We know for a fact that the game got its highest ever discount on Steam less than a month ago, and right after the sale ended, its full price was changed from 60 EUR to 30 EUR.
I'm not saying you should run and buy it or anything like that, but these are way better deals than what we had before, no matter how you look at it. Complaining about the price seems pointless to me right now.
Even at 50% off, it would be 15 EUR, which isn't too bad for a game as popular as this one.

Man I researched it's price for 2 years.
It was an 2 years old game when it came and bam 60 Eur not dollars.
Until this summer sale it was at 50% bam 30Eur at the max discount for a 5 years old game.
Now is the same as that 30 Eur.
So what if it is popular, is that an excuse now ?
how did they increase the quality of the game, well online for more micro trans, baned mod tools for more micro, no dlc because of micro.
Yes this game deserves from 20 to 80Eur because of reasons :)).
And by the way check my account I own all Rockshit games minus GtaV :P.

Because of of those games was so sucessful they called it the most sucessful entertainment product ever in a recent interview about Red Dead Redemption 2 and the other one flopped so hard they had to put it into a Humble Monthly roughly 3 - 4 months after release.

only Brasil. nuuvem is a Brasilian store and most of its keys can only be activated here. Most, not all.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS:
This code can not be used to activate Grand Theft Auto V outside Brazil.

Don't trust Nuuvem's description. They write the same thing on almost all of their product pages, even if there is no region lock (to avoid people using VPN). It MAY be locked, but maybe not. Trust Steamdb.info or in this case, users who had activated Rockstar Social Club keys before.

Rockstar Social Club EULA clause K:
You agree not to... utilize any... other program in connection with any online features of the Software
It seems likely you would be violating the EULA, which you can do at your own risk although I do not recommend it
Comment has been collapsed.
So you will violate a 5$ key for a crap system as the social club :))).

Only five bucks for that game? That's so cheap, even for the South American region! :O

I don't get it either, but maybe it's 'cause a sandwich is about R$10 here in Brazil

It seems that Nuuvem is selling GTAV for R$20 (about $5 USD).
Now, it says on the page: activation on "Rockstar Games Social Club". So, no Steam key, I guess?
Anyway, people might not care about being on Steam, so here is the link:
