If that would be true then the ban wave would have affected about 15k games, including some decent publisher/developers.

From those "rules":

"Occasionally it may make sense to offer your game in a bundle or subscription, timed at the right point in a game's life cycle. Keep in mind that the perceived price in the bundle/subscription should be a price you are willing to run the game at a standalone price or discount on Steam. Philosophically, you can think about it like any other discount: if you’re making an aggressive offer in one place, make it elsewhere too."

Well, then most if not all games that have ever been included in the 1 USD tier of Humble Bundles should be removed, since they have never been sold at those price levels on Steam.

Let's say it like it really is: Steam has turned into a cancer, and Valve won't hesitate to take advantage of its quasi-monopoly in the PC games digital distribution market to do pretty much anything it wants, no matter who gets hurt - developers, publishers and even its own customers.

Holy cow. Wasn't expecting to lose close to 500 games overnight from my +1 count.

Hmm, looks like -584 "games" here, but I wonder how many of those things were actually games in the first place. :)

Just to make sure we stop wasting our money on this sort of crap, maybe the next step could be no xp from banned game badges. :)

Damn this new ban wave almost tipped my total number of games to under 1k.

Why exactly does these games get removed from the Store?

Some are selling their games on russian sites for 0.01-0.04 cent ,Alot of those games have broken Achievements & were abandoned by the developer and got reported alot .Some using tags to lure people in [Like Sexual content or nudity false marked by the dev]
and if one from the dev gets flagged all games he ever did get removed .
Most of them were for free on gamehag or this .su site .

I lost 91 games, from which 4 looked decent enough to not be immediately hidden in my library

I just noticed, this publisher had all their games removed, according to the github list anyway, but they're back on the store now for some reason? https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/DroidRiot

Lost another 19, taking my total to 29, some of which I'd already removed before in my own library purges. But I must say I'm surprised by some of the latest inclusions, I generally try not to add total trash to my library, and some of these latest ones didn't look that bad, like things I might have played one day.

It's possible to re-publish the same game under a different publisher as long as the game doesn't have any objectionable content.

However, in this case, I guess that the dev (and publisher) went and create a different company in their country to register on Steam again, or something like that. No idea how Steam let it through, though

It seems like Valve has decided to let banned developers back on without creating a new "version" of the game.
Remember Arcane Raise?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/603750/_Arcane_Raise/
It's back, using the original appid, all that seems to have changed is the publisher.

That seems likely, but as far as I know, the developer has chosen to just keep their head down and not comment on it. I've not really looked into it further than what can be found on the community page though :P

Seems like I was wrong, and that this particular game escaped the purge of the Arcane Raise published games, due to it originally having a different publisher (which only published Arcane Raise, so probably a different publisher in name only?)

That is the only game from them that has not been banned, since it was published under a different publisher originally. It has been there all along, actually.

Ah darn, then I was wrong. I heard about it returning from a person who's keys were revoked, but I guess that was faulty information then
