First of all, I have to say, that I'm terrible at remembering anything from my dreams. If I remember even fragments, it's a miracle. But sometimes I remember full dreams, and I found a pattern. I never know, that I'm dreaming, so I have complete immersion, but I remember, that my dreams start with me watching / playing something. In the first period,I can see the screen, and myself, like I'm sitting in a chair or something, but at some point in my dream, I get "teleported" to the game or movie I'm watching, and I become one of the actors/players. Example: The previous week, my family and I went to have a relaxing weekend. On the night before our return, I had a dream of me playing CS:GO (I play CS:GO regularly with my friends) on an arcade machine, so it was kinda like a controller. I remember having a few kills, but suddenly I got teleported into the game, so I could experience the kills in real FPS view. I don't have any memory fragment what happened between the two states. But I had a more interesting dream the night before that. I was watching a horror movie (I'm fan of horror movies long since), the story was about a house (where I used to live), and the people there (my family) awaken a ghost (Laura from The Evil Within, no I'm not joking), which kidnaps the protagonist's (me) family. I remember, that I wake up at an underground garage (the thing malss usually have). Behind me there was darkness, but I could see the ghost for a brief second, and my family with her. Voices told me, that I just have to leave, so instead of going deeper into the garage, I went outside. I reached a street, but thed ream didn't want to end. A few cars approached me, and out of curiosity, I tried to jump in front of them, but some kind of protection "activated", and even when I was sure they'd hit me, I was moved a half meter away. I realized, that I had to save my family in order to end this, so I stepped into the darkness. ThaT's when another dream started. As far as I remember, I was playing a game on a SEGA Dreamcast, and I was trying to beat it within 10 minutes, because that'd earn me an achievement (don't ask how a Dreamcast game can have achievements). It was a shooter with bosses, and stealth. Everytime I beat it, the console just restarted, but then finally I appeared in the game. I was stealthing through a level, guards came, I learned their pattern, so I could sneak past them, and then I guess I completed the game. I was in the house again. Everything was fine. My mom came in and wished me a good night. But then I heard something. On the clock's (it was a big standing clock, with pendulum and such) glass, a scratch appeared. Then, when I investigated it, I saw a bloody hand, trying to break through the glass. I ran to the drawer, and picked up a box of matches. I ran back to the clock, and screamed with a lit match: I'll burn you, bitch, I'll burn you to fuckin hell! There were two parts, which were strange in this sentence of mine: First: It was impossible for me to actually talk in my dream. The commands to my mouth to move, were being cut off at some point, and I felt pain, after that, I heard myself saying those exact same words, I tried to say, but this time only in my head. Second: My native language is hungarian, yet I screamed in english. The last thing I remember was me, opening the clock's glass, and finding Laura in there, then I heard a voice, but I can't remember what it said, then I woke up.

Although it was eerie, I enjoyed that dream. Mostly I dream about general things, that have no meaning, but I felt (and still feel), that this one had some importance. I guess I'm just making it up, but still, I feel that it was special. Did you experience something like this, or did you find any pattern in your dreams?

I read everything and all I can say is that you are playing/thinking about videogames too much. I have these kind of dreams when I'm on vacation (and I play pretty much the whole day).
If you can't stop dreaming about it, you should learn how to lucid dream and "play" or have crazy adventures in your dreams, it's pretty cool :)

Problem is: I usually don't remember anything. BTW As far as I remember I don't dream a lot about video games. Back, when I was a kid, my father brought me a PS 1, and he played The House of The Dead, or something like that on it. The game had a cutscene, where an evil doctor jumps in front of the player. That night, I had that dream, and I remember it clearly. When I was younger, I used to scream like a psycho in my dreams. I had no memory of the dream, but my parents told me, that I was screaming. It was scary for people around me.

100 times forever and ever better 100 years better.com.

I have some recurring dreams/nightmares, usually involving teeth falling out en masse, but besides that I don't notice a pattern other than "none of this makes sense." Last night I dreamt I was playing with a beautiful maine coon cat and when I took it off my face it turned into a baby.

yeah, my dreams have sudden shifts from one scene to a completely different one. When I wake up and try to tell my dream to someone I'm like "This happened, then suddenly I'm in this other setting and in the middle of something else happening, then suddenly I"m somewhere else."

And often I switch genders between scenes, which totally freaked me out when I was younger. I wondered if I was gay or transgender. But now I realize it's not really "me" I'm dreaming about but a character. I read novels a lot, so my brain is used to living out life vicariously through characters. The same is probably for those who watch a lot of series TV and get involved in the main characters.

But here's the freakiest thing of all. I recently found out that I EDIT MY DREAMS WHILE I'M DREAMING THEM!!! I always thought it was when I was half awake and sort of reliving the dream and I would decide that the scene I dreamed didn't work out well and if the characters did this instead it would be better. But one night I was awakened from deep sleep by the loud ringing of the phone. It was the middle of the night and I was thrust from sleep to awake in a split second. After I dealt with the crisis I was remembering my dream and realized that I was dreaming that I was editing or redoing what I had dreamed before! And I know I was totally asleep at the time, not partially awake, because I woke so suddenly and scared from the alarm. That is cool but freaky. My brain loves to edit so much it evens edits dreams.

Once I had a terrible dream: I was dreaming, that I'm dreaming, and I was waking up from the dreamed dream, because it turned into a horror scene. I woke up, and everything seemed normal. I was in my bad, and nothing was out of the ordinary. I looked at the clock. It was still night, so I decided to go back sleep (still in my dream). I dreamed that scenery again, and the figure ( I can't remember what it was) said: You can't escape now. I was like: Oh well, It's that dream again, so I'm just gonna wake up. I woke up again from the dreamed dream, but the figure was standing there, staring at me. He said: Gotcha!, and I woke up from the dream to the reality. It was scary, since I thought I was dreaming. I hate when I try to sleep, and suddenly a sleepception occurs.

Hmmm, I don't think my dreams have any pattern. Only special thing I noticed is when I dream about waking up. It happened few times that I was really sleep deprived and had issues with waking up when the alarm clock was playing. Instead of simply waking up, I would dream of waking up, in my room, in my bed, everything normal. The only difference was that I couldn't turn on the light, which would make me realize that I wasn't actually awake. That relization would either wake me up for real or make me dream about waking up again (it usually repeated like 2-3 times before I managed to finally wake up).

Sometimes I'm getting chased by someone or something, the dream could be about anything but while it's happening I get the feeling I have to hide or leave the place because someone is looking for me. Well it haven't had that feeling in quite a while but that's the one I usually have.

I really wish your post would have some line breaks... it's hard reading walls of text in the morning. :(
I'll probably come back later, when I'm a bit less asleep. :P

Hmmmmmmm Last time that I dreamed anything was maybe two months ago? I very rarely have any dream. When I have one it's almost always something strange going on there. Last time I dream about my normal day life. Well almost normal. Everything there was going inversely. Everything was like in reflection in mirror. When I wanted go left I walked right, when I wanted going up I was going down. And this whole I was holding a mirror because without it I could not read anything :D

I used to be so passionate about dreams I wrote them down when I woke up, and sometimes it's fun to reread old dreams from like 5 years ago.
I usually dream about things I'm scared of, or at least these are the ones I remember the most.
Either someone dear dying, or being ignored by someone important (this one is really common for me actually)

The commands to my mouth to move, were being cut off at some point

I think that can happen when your dream gets so vivid. (because your true self is paralysed in bed, unable to speak)

When I was younger, before waking up, I saw myself from the celiling(?), and suddenly I began to fall towards my body, and when I reached it, I woke up. It was strange, like my soul was returning to my body.

That's because you were somewhere between sleep and awareness.
Sounds similar to Sleep paralysis, I used to get these a lot.

no

any of the dreams i have are typically random shit or just my brain sorting through the earlier day

i've had dreams of just browsing the internet or playing videogames

i've also had incredibly weird shit involving elevators or explosions or slicked up playgrounds build on top of bombs or crashing a flying car on the highway
