Note, at the Ubisoft news link, the URL they give for the World In Conflict giveaway is:
https://free.ubisoft.com/promotions/world_in_conflict/12/
And if you just go to:
You can see that as well as offers for two trial games.

Thanks
So far I have been playing a few missions in the campaign and I am enjoying the free game World in Conflict, I can't believe I never heard of this game before till now.
I guess so far that game is worth it free if you are a fan of a RTS war game.

Oh, that's pretty neat. I'm excited about AC4. Thanks for keeping us informed Majoki!

As long as you download the games through Uplay during their free periods, they will be yours to keep and play whenever you like.
Wait, so you also have to download them through Uplay during their giveaway period in order to keep? It's not enough to just register your account for the free games?

Bad choice of words maybe? When you get the game it says that is now registered with your account so I don't think it will get removed if not downloaded. That would be a lot of hassle for something given out for free. Still, it is Ubisoft, so you can't be 100% sure.

Yeah, maybe that is it... since I don't remember reading the post by them with watch dogs or other games were released free and some of them I never downloaded, just added them to my account like what origin does with their games on the house.
But better be safe than sorry and probably download the game as well.

Yep, same as the way Humble tells you that free games will go poof and disappear if you don't activate them, when what they mean to say is that if you don't reveal the key by a certain date you will no longer have access to it, but once revealed, the keys don't actually expire. It's the same here, poor wording that may be intentional because they want you to download it so they can show off metrics to the boss at the next meeting.

One of the best modernwarfare RTS I ever seen. Thanks for info.

Well with how old AC4 is, all bets are I guess off. Ubisoft like EA with their free games they normally give out their old but great titles, so I think for both those services the games they gave free were anywhere from 4+ year old games. AC4 came out 2013 (I think) and that is 4 years old?
I guess with that "maybe I shouldn't buy any ubisoft games" you probably shouldn't buy old games at all since there is a chance it could become free... but I think so far with ubisoft they seem to only give free games for certain occasions, like the holidays this year and then not sure what the reason for Watch Dogs was, maybe an anniversary of sorts?

There are two sections to your library, one with free games and demos that are available to everybody, and the other with games that are attached specifically to your account. You can hide the free/demo section, because I think that is what is confusing you.
