I'm proud of this rule. This site is very loving and caring in my eyes and when I hear about the few bad eggs here and there it hurts. There are fair reasons to blacklist someone I'm sure. But this will help make sure those fair reasons are well considered before doing so.

I'm good with a week instead of a day.
I don't enter GAs of those I have blacklisted anyhow so that part is unaffected.
I see one of my blacklist marks has gone away. I have no idea who however. I'd return the favor if I could. Perhaps it does not matter if it works how I think.
So please clarify.
Set 1
A and B both have each other blacklisted.
A removes the mark on his side. Net effect remains the same. Neither can enter a GA the other made.
Set 2
A blacklists B but B has no mark against A. Same starting net affect. Full blacklist is in effect.
A now removes the blackmark against B. Now both can enter GAs made by each other.
Are both Set 1 and Set 2 true?
I have 14 on my blacklist. 19, now 18 have me on their list.
At least 3 of those on my list are permanent for things they did either to me or to others. The others are only because I saw they blacklisted me first. I only know the reason for 1 of those. I disagree with the reason but thats fine. The rest are unknown. I'd be happy to remove all but the 3 so long as those I remove can't enter my stuff until they also remove me from their list. Its now up to them.
The way its currently worded it looks like they can remove themselves from my list simply by removing me from theirs. I'm sure thats not the case but please confirm both sides need to not have a black mark against the other to enter GAs. If either side has a mark against someone then NEITHER side can enter a GA of the other.

This is awesome! Except two exceptions I just blacklisted people who blacklisted me (to have the effect that is implemented now).
Thank you so much for this!

Well. I think it's a sad change. I never intended to us blacklist feature and now it's forced onto me as people who blacklisted me for some righteous or silly reason won't be able to participate in any gibs i make. It should be at least optional :/ Yes.

Great news! I was always stalking those, who blacklist me for no reason.
Now they won`t be able to get into my giveaways. Yay!
P.S Made an amnesty for loyal users. Feel free to check my giveaways out again

Oh nice. But what if I want people who blacklisted me to be able to enter my giveaways? Why do you block those people from my giveaways without asking me first? At least make this configurable! IT'S UNFAIR!

Wouldn't it be better to make it optional? I have nothing against people who blacklist me and don't mind them entering my giveaways. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Hi SG, we just rolled out an update to the way blacklists work, and I wanted to create a quick announcement to explain the difference. Previously, if you blacklisted a user, they would not be able to enter your giveaways, or see them on the homepage. Now, there is one addition: If you blacklist a user, you will also not be able to enter their giveaways, or see them on the homepage.
There are two reasons for the change...
This might leave you wondering, is there anything preventing you from unblacklisting a user, entering their giveaways, and then blacklisting them again? Yes. When unblacklisting a user, there is a delay between one second and one
dayweek until you once again see their giveaways on the homepage, and have access to entering them. If you try to directly open their giveaways sooner, you will see an error, such as "You do not have permission to view this giveaway for another 35 minutes, since you previously blacklisted the giveaway creator.". The length of the delay is proportional to the amount of time you had the user blacklisted (i.e. if you blacklisted a user for 5 hours, you'll need to wait 5 hours after unblacklisting the user), up to the maximum of onedayweek.Comment has been collapsed.
