I would like to ask for help with one thing before I will make a GA (to be sure I will do everything correct):

First questions (as not everyone will read long post :) ):
1) Is it possible for support to change version of game GA after GA will end if key will activate different steam version of the same game/content - I see 2 possible GA versions of Borderlands Game of the Year on SteamGifts and I am not sure which one my gift link will activate.
2) Anyone can help me which version GA for Borderlands Game of the Year I should go and what to do with such situation?

Longer story below:

I want to make a Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition GA. But I noticed there are 2 possible versions of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition in SteamGifts:
1) Borderlands Game of the Year https://store.steampowered.com/app/8980/
2) Borderlands: Game of the Year
https://store.steampowered.com/sub/6346/ (it moving me to main steam store page)

And now I am not 100% sure which version I should choose (it is not specified on a HB page).
My Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition comes from the Humble Endless RPG Lands Bundle from HumbleBundle.
I checked page:
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/ZDeh0/humble-bundle-the-humble-endless-rpg-lands-bundle
and it looks like it is stated as second version (which I think was removed from shop) at last it was put in a table and it was probably true on that moment of time but not sure if is still true after my investigation.

I also found old thread on other page where someone pasted one of the Borderlands keys under information about this bundle (563F3-ZW6DV-GXPFI) and It dont tell me I already have this game. Instead it tells me that it was activated on other account (I already have Borderlands Game of the Year * https://store.steampowered.com/app/8980/ version of this game on steam = it means it is other licence then I already activated on my Steam account.

But on the other hand when I try to activate this key by steam web page my plugin tells me it is key for a Borderlands GOTY:
https://steamdb.info/sub/8725/apps/
which include https://steamdb.info/app/729040/ and https://steamdb.info/app/8980/
It would mean I should make a GA for a 1) version

Also when I search for a Borderland GOTY on steamdb it only shows 1) version:
https://steamdb.info/search/?a=app&q=borderlands+game+of+the+year&type=-1&category=0
Then maybe it will activate when used currently as 1) version?

I guess I should make a GA for a 1) Borderlands Game of the Year * https://store.steampowered.com/app/8980/ then but i am not still sure...

Anyone can help me with that (other then "give me a key I will check :P ) ? Thx in advance!

Also is it possible for support to change version of GA, after GA ends and winner will activate 1) or 2) version?

For question 1, refer to veebles' answer above.
Specifically, its main purpose is exactly to deal with different versions of the same game.

As for question 2, proximus' advice is spot on.
If you want to know why, here's it: when Borderlands GOTY Enhanced got released, all existing packages with Borderlands 1 were updated to include all DLCs, as well as the new Enhanced version - in your case, appID 8980 was the old base game, while subID 6346 was the old GOTY package.

Thus, right now, every existing version of Borderlands 1 is equivalent with each other and with Enhanced, in terms of content.
The only -minor- difference being the presence -or not- of this DLC that seems to be limited to some older packages, so picking something new (like Borderlands GOTY Enhanced) that doesn't include it would be the safest choice.
