Hey, Guy's. I came across this awesome program called Start Is Back. http://www.startisback.com/

What it does is, It brings back the start menu from windows 7 and it also has a lot of customization such as, Custom start orbs, Custom task bar and customised start menu.

This program is free for 30 days.
Here is a picture what it looks like.

Free for entire 30 days. Wow!

It's been a while since I have installed anything else than WinRaR with shareware model...

Have you tried 7-zip for archives? Open Source, so no shareware model.

To each their own, but I would take an open source over a free closed source one any day.

It took a little getting used to at first, but the Windows 10 Start Menu is actually quite nice.

This doesnt have any ads, You don't have to change the windows start menu to 7. You can stay on windows 10 start menu and just customise your taskbar.

Or you could install Classic Shell which is free... forever

Beat me to it lol. +1 for this.

...Or if you REALLY REALLY hate it, you could try out Linux Mint (like literally you can burn it to a DVD/USB and try it before you install). IMHO, it is one of the easiest Linux distros to pick up coming from Windows. I have had good experiences with Cinnamon (64-bit), works pretty damn well for most things such as anything online/watching video/yes, even some Steam games.

My biggest gripe aside from low # of AAA game titles is that some printer manufacturers suck... meaning some printers can be royal hell to setup on linux (HP is supposedly very Linux-friendly but my Lexmark was a complete pita). But hey, it's FREE and I don't have to deal with MS's BS. :-D

And before some comes out with the classic "but you can't game on Linux!" you can always dual-boot, you know?

Ah, the olden days where I dual booted. What a massive pain in the tuckus.

So now I just have two machines, the Wintendo for the gaming and the Linux machine for the rest.

Hehe, yeah if you got more than one computer, your options increase. Good word that one, "Wintendo".

Classic Shell is even better than than the original Start menu. In fact, I'm using it right now even though I'm on Windows 7.

This program was only really relevant back in Win8 when they introduced the metro crap, before they changed their minds. It was a good program, but after they changed their minds and brought back the start menu I don\t see any point in using this. The Windows 10 start menu is good.

I use the default Windows 10 start menu because it's provably superior. If you haven't, give it a chance. A lot of ui designers and researchers worked on the menu to make it the best, and after using the previous one for years, hating the new one, but sticking it with, I wouldn't want to go back given the option.

Add your favorite programs as tiles or just start typing to find anything. I never have to look through a long alphabetical list of literally every program on my PC again.

30 days free, so excited.
And then paying for something that honestly isn't worth the money to avoid the oh-so-scary change and progress.
Hmmmm.
