I never had this problem. Steam guard only asks me for a code if I'm on a new device or new browser.

Security and convenience are always in opposition to each other.

Wait, every site? But Steam OpenID has nothing to do with your Steam Guard Login or am I mistaken now? Normally only Applications with a "regular" login should need this.

That's an incredibly stupid way to think.
"Well, my car's never been stolen, so I'll leave the keys in and leave it unlocked."
"Well, my house has never been burglarized, so I should just leave the doors unlocked."
"Well, my bank account has never been compromised, so I won't bother setting up a PIN."

There were cars before ignition keys, there were houses before locks, and there were banks before PINs. So I think he was just saying, in his own little way, that you are completely wrong on every count, and you missed his point besides: His point is that just because something hasn't happened YET, does not mean it will not happen in the FUTURE.

That is not the way Steam Guard works - you should need to enter your code only once. Which browser are you using? Do you have cookies disabled, or set to be deleted at the end of your session? If so you should whitelist steamcommunity.com.

The code lets you login to steam. from there you can log in to steamtrades or steamgifts by just clicking the link to "login" via steam

yep, if you do it this way you dont have to have a new code for each site individually

steam settings> account tab(the first one)> button that says "Manage steam guard account security"

You can disable it, but it is aditional security and will always get in the way. Still you should only do it once per PC, unless you are deleting the cookies.

You know, I don't know why so much insulting goes on in these threads (well, maybe I do...), but I don't see why someone has to be stupid if they don't agree with someone else (not talking about anyone in particular). If you like steam guard, great; if you don't like it, great. Shouldn't people have a choice in the matter? Telling people that they can turn it off and lose features isn't much of a choice. Personally, I don't like being forced to be "safe" or whatever - it's very Orwellian. Throw out your computers and you'll have even more protection than steam guard gives. Hey, more protection's always better, right?

Don't you agree? It's a pain to always get a code for every site that supports steam you go on.
