lets say you bought a 1st tier bundle for 1$ how will you trade it?
Haven't traded in a while but fair value for most part. I'd guess at least half my trade rep came from Russians/Brazilians when we could freely deal with them. They'd only take a little profit which I'd consider fair as they were the cheapest source for the games in question at the time.
Outside of that I mainly used to go hunting for people who had refined metal and were looking for bundle keys I owned rather than make my own thread. I don't really know why I did this as refined metal means nothing to me and I could have given them away here instead. Think I just wanted to build some rep and I had a lot of keys lying around. Fair prices with those people as well.
Probably took the worse end of the deal one of the last time I traded in terms of strict value. I wanted "The Dig" which I think was in a cheapish Groupees bundle, and I traded away 2 Humble BTA games for it. That said, The Dig hadn't been in a bundle for a good while so not many people had it to trade. Went on to trade 50 games for 10 Tf2 keys wiht the same person and I probably got the worst of it there too but I wanted those keys for something specific so again I didn't mind.

Oops, I managed to mix up Primordia with The Dig. My excuse is that they're both sci-fi point and click games.

I usually don't trade at all, but on the rare occasions when I do trade, I belong into the "I want that game, they want this game so what if mine's worth more, they're happy, I'm happy, win-win!" category \o/
Edit:
"What's mine is mine, what's yours is going to be mine as well" made me laugh a little. Next time I play some sort of thief in an MMO, I'm going to put this quote on my profile :D

Scary! Will remember to add your name (and address, just to be sure) so all the people can praise you :D

I dont know wheter I understand the given options. Also, trading in a fair way is not possible if you just compare the steam store values (your option 1). So I guess I am gonna go with option 3?

actually it is possible if you know how much you spent, or what is the source of the game (it always good to ask) also you can use this site to see record of price on games:
isthereanydeal :-)
can you quote the option you dont understands? as i see the graph by highest voted :-)

I wouldn't really call it trading what I do really. All I do is split the games for the exact value on the groupbuys steam group. When I have leftovers from a bundle purchase I do this. I don't try and make a profit at all.
Used to trade a lot during the time when russian games weren't region locked. But since then trading is pointless to me.

I always have to trade for the bundles I want. Sadly, so many of the bundle resellers are now seeking $3 to $5 for a $1 bundle because it has some supposedly sought after title in it.
I remember back when the region locking first hit and I tried my hand at reselling ROW titles from the Canadian store. I got supreme shit for getting a 19 cent profit off a $40+ deal... >.<

I usually trade non-bta for non-bta and bta for bta. But becomes more complicated with BS and IG with multi purchases. So the easiest is to try to trade a key of an estimated value for something of a similar estimated value. I don't care for little differences I usually get those "cost numbers" from groups and sites that prepare shared purchases. Every day is harder so I get a bit lazier every day.

Everybody values their penny-ante games differently. Tier for tier, actual cost for actual cost, market value, whatever. I think the real value is how much you want the game. If you don't want what's offered, decline or ask for more. But be polite about it. When I had trades on SG, I rejected about 9 of 10 offers because I just didn't want what was offered. I tried never to admonish anyone over their offer, though. No one needs that aggravation.

There are some games that have been bundled in the past, but are valued higher because a lot of people want the game, like Among The Sleep, Gemini Rue, ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West, and Blackwell 5: Epiphany. These are all games I am currently looking for, so if I buy a bundle and have a game leftover that is in high demand, I will try and trade it for one of these games. I will often offer any 2 games I have for 1 or even 3 sometimes if I want the game bad enough. It's basically supply and demand.
Other than that I don't really put a value on any of my games because they are all just leftover bundle games. I have never looked at the price for a game when trading. I don't care if the game I am trading is worth $20 and the game I get is only worth $2 because after being released in a bundle they no longer have a dollar value to me, they are now valued just as a leftover bundle game and have the same value as every other leftover bundle game. The only thing that would give it more value would be if there is a high demand like I explained in the first paragraph.
