* Looks like GMG is temporarily out of stock of Intel Starter keys, they mention they'll send the keys later but you might not want to risk it. There might be more in stock now. Thanks for the info thekuribo

Be sure to redeem your bronze, silver and gold rewards before 2nd August at 15:59 BST because it looks like they're removing them then. According to an email Uroboros received. On Twitter they mention 5th August, 4PM , but better safe than sorry.

I'm starting to feel like GMG mouthpiece considering that it's the second GMG thread I created in a little over a month but I thought it was a good deal to share and there's no thread yet.

I got a "VPN or Proxy Detected" warning screen from https://softwareoffer.intel.com/redeem

Even tried it in different browser and on an android tablet.
I guess I will not get the starter pack.

Hint: Planet Alpha will also activate Worms Armageddon on Steam for a limited time.

In case anyone was wondering like I was, below are the cheapest thing in each tier. At least in Australia, but I know for a fact that our store is missing a bunch of games.

Gold
$10.19 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/damsel-pc/
$11.00 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-pc/
$12.40 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/robbie-swifthand-and-the-orb-of-mysteries-pc/
$12.72 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/39-days-to-mars-pc/
$12.94 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/oil-enterprise/

Silver
$7.31 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/bomber-crew-pc/
$7.46 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/slashers-the-power-battle-pc/
$8.59 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/darksiders-ii-deathinitive-edition/
$8.82 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/gothic-complete-collection/
$8.99 AUD - https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/deadfall-adventures-digital-deluxe-edition/

Bronze
PPU DLCs start from $0.74 AUD. As for a game, maybe Steampunker ($1.99 AUD)?
I didn't check everything as there are 800+ items.

Someone on Reddit mentioned that he did get 2 sets of codes for both the free Gold/Silver game and the Intel Starter pack, but when he tried redeeming it, he got an error. He ended up using VPN to redeem both Intel starter packs: https://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/comments/cefbk4/gmg_summer_sale_up_to_90_off_reward_bundle_with/eu3cz8c/

Can confirm this, and it looks like some titles are mis-configured to contain both Silver and Gold rewards, which means the lucky buyer gets 2x Intel Software Starter Pack + 1 Gold game + 1 Silver game + 2 coupons (15% and 10%)

I'm only interested in No Man's Sky or Frostpunk, but none of the rewards makes want to jump upon the offer. Heck, I can't even find something I'd want to use the 15% voucher for. No idea if their discounts are better in other price regions, but from the € zone perspective I'm underwhelmed and would have preferred better discounts over such "gifts".

I had the same problem...the prices in euro are really high :/
But in the end I went for the Tabletop Simulator, because it's just around 2€ above the historical low and I don't think it will get much bigger discounts since it's selling really well :3
It's just a silver tier game, but that was fine for me :)

Do you have different prices than me? Mafia 3 Deluxe is 15€ for me, that's not the all-time low :)
It was cheaper on various other official stores, even GMG itself had it on sale for less before this sale :D source

Don't get me wrong, both are great games and if you are missing them and can't find anything else, then go for it :)
I guess a lot here also got A Hat in Time and the base version of Mafia 3 already through the Humble Monthly wich was a very cheap way to get them :3

no, prices are the same, I only compared it with the steam all-time lows, hadn't checked ITAD..

That's strange. It should show up right after you make the purchase under the key for the game you bought. You could also try checking in your account under "Your purchases" there should be a "silver rewards bundle" with the keys.

Intel:
Star Trek: Bridge Crew
Raw Data
Gas Guzzlers Extreme
There Came an Echo

Intel news signup:
Nevermind (from selection of 5 games)

Not too bad really ,though not something i'd normally go for.
Usually it has to be even cheaper to grab my attention. :)
Happy to also get Star Trek: Bridge Crew ,been wanting that for a while.
And happy to support the No Man's Sky devs in a small way.

Just went for NMS as well. Haven't got the codes for the free games but they are really just a bonus. Had my eye on NMS for ages and with the discount code I received it was an all time low. Have you had much chance to play it yet?

I thought i'd wait a while until it had improved somewhat.

Is it good to play as single player or do you "need" do pkay it as a multiplayer title?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's definitely good as a single player title. That's how I intend to play it. When it was first released it was really just single player and they added multiplayer later. Multiplayer just allows you to play as a party of four and explore the universe together. You're not missing out on anything if you play solo. The Beyond update will add more multiplayer features but it's not certain what they will be yet.

Thank you. I watched the game when it came out and saw that it was a disaster back then and I lost track of NMS soon. And I don't play multiplayer games at all, but somehow I find NMS interesting.

Have played the original Elite on my Amiga 500 back then. And I still love the series. A game doesn't have to be always complex - sometimes I just want to relax and have some "simple" fun.

Bought NMS and I'm looking forward playing it.

Yeh ,i wait a while with quite a few games these days.
They seem to be in a semi-permanent updating/patching state.
It will probably continue with this particular game once it gets multiplayer added.

god knows what that means for the single-player part of the game ,i hope it doesn't suffer because of multiplayer being tacked on.
Personally ,i'm not into M.P games either .

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I think (hope) the single player aspect of the game won't be affected. I guess the multiplayer is just there for those who want it. At least in the 2 hours I've played it felt completely like a single player experience.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeh ,we can only hope.
I look at games like GTA5 and how the singleplayer was pushed to the side ,frozen in time , and all the dev manhours went into updates for multiplayer.

As long as fixes/ improvements continue for the main SP game then cool
but if multiplayer becomes popular it could change the whole game into something different.
I never really followed the news for this game ,it could be what they had planned all along ,i suppose.

That is one reason why I am very sceptical with games which have a singleplayer and a multiplayer mode. In most of these games, the singleplayer mode suffers.

Comment has been collapsed.

Good point about GTA 5. I would have loved to see some more single player content, but of course the devs went where the money is. I guess the difference with NMS is that they are not making money from the multiplayer side of the game. Apart from new sales of course. Seems to me that they continue to update the game through passion and generally focus on what the playerbase wants. As far as I can tell the SP side of the game has not been affected negatively by the multiplayer updates. The upcoming update also has a lot of updates that apply to SP and MP.

When you purchase a Gold or Silver game, you will receive the code for your Intel Starter Pack via your confirmation email. Once you've got your code, you need to head to Intel and follow the instructions on site. Once there you can choose your 4 free games out of a possible 10.
A maximum of 3 Intel® Starter Packs can be redeemed per customer.

I like GMG but it is such a painful site to browse. Terrible usability. No sorting, annoying pagination, losing your place if you click anything and go back. For fuck's sake I just want to see the cheapest games or biggest discounts and not spend 10 minutes clicking "load more" over and over and over. End rant.

Well a solution for losing your place after clicking something you could try opening in a separate tab, but the rest are definitely valid points.

I remember having problem with something like that (it was playfire and gmg accounts, right?).From what I can remember they had to close one of the accounts so that I could just register with the other account, thankfully I didn't really had much to lose in the account that was closed, but they really needed to have a better solution.
