Dead Island from Amazon

I recently bought Dead Island Game of The Year Edition from Amazon, i would like to know if it is region locked? anyone knows? thanks :)

Hey, i think games from amazon are not region locked. Most region locked games are the ones bought from russia or eastern europe countries stores (maybe south america too, but i don't know). I've bought a lot of keys from amazon and had no problem activating from Spain :)

Since the game is not available in the German Steam Store I think there was something to the rule about this game, but I am not sure and asking the mods would probably be the best idea.

Dead Island can be activated in Germany,Dead Rising 2 Off the Records can't.

Saints Row 2 and/or 3 also can't be activated in Germany.

Not like it really matters in this topic, but hey the more people that know it the better. :P

Oh and Sniper Elite NZA.But the difference in DR2 OTR is that it can't be downloaded and updated if you have a german IP.

I never said it can't be activated. It's that it can't be bought in the German store.

it is region locked, but you can activate it by using a VPN

I think all versions of Dead Island (including Riptide) are region locked

Yeah. Regular, GOTY and Riptide from NA is region locked.

all versions are region locked. it doesent matter if you buy only a key or a dvd version with the key in it.

you have to google about the locked regions, but most regions use the same key, germany is a country where a lot of keys cant be installed because of the region lock

Not all DI-Keys are region locked. I read that DI-Amazon Keys are...i once bought a key from GMG and it worked in Germany...was a ROW-Key.
