CS I suppose - pick up a gun and shoot your enemies before they shoot you.

What the title states! I'm looking for the best competitive, LAN-friendly Steam games for people who aren't necessarily gamers.
The best I can come up with is TF2, but even that can be a tough sell for non-gamers.
Anyone else have some good ideas for this?
Ideally around 4-32 players; realistically, maybe 16, or maybe playoffs with versus matches.
