cannot redeem gift

first of all this isn't a gift i won on steamgifts.

So some time ago my friend gave my the game cubemen . (he send it with email as a gift)
But every time i try to redeem it i got this error :

anyone else got this same problem?

If the gift is in the form of a code, check the code twice for errors.

If it is a Steam gift, ask your friend to try resending it if he still has it, or try again later as the message suggests.

If all else fails, contact Steam Support.

I myself have not encountered this issue.
