New leak for tomorrow indicates "Frostpunk" free for June 3
Thanks for this. Seems like it's ad made by Epic so i'm counting on it.
I'll take frostpunk!
Fortnite is also free!
Is this a joke?
It's listed as free on Epic's main page but when you click it it does not shown as free.
seems borked for me... Owned, but not in library
Try adding it through browser (instead of Epic Games launcher). Worked for me.
end of money? they going down with quality
last weeks (since they don't reveal upcoming games) are better than usual
Frostpunk is nice game!
Yeah, had it in my wishlist since I thought It seemed a lot of fun. I`m happy :)
Current Deal: Frostpunk
Next Deal: Mystery Game
Dang. Frostpunk is great. I love the game
I already own it in steam but hey, it's free xD
Genshin Impact is currently free too until the 17th
But... Genshin Impact is a Free 2 Play game.
Maybe it's just new to Epic? I think they used to have their own client on PC like most MMOs do.
that til the 17th is weird...
Does it say so on the Store page?
If so that must be an error or maybe they have some goodies for early adopters but I assume they would advertise that.
I googled it and as I guessed the game came to Epic just yesterday.
Didn't know it was F2P. Maybe the timeframe is to redeem the bonus code
That is most likely it, the code is nowhere to be seen on the store page, only on the free games banner.
Edit: The code doesn't give much, not really worth the hassle
It was easy to miss on PC because it wasn't on any of the big stores.
It's supposed to be pretty decent for a F2P game, specially the presentation but apparently gets pretty grindy after 10 - 12 hours.
Yes, it's for the code.
They still have their client which is launched from epic launcher. LOL.
So when does the Rise/Shadow of the Tomb Raider rumors start again for the next Epic freebie? lol
Maybe Conan Exiles rumors too like before - still waiting.....
This site says that the next free game will be Drug Dealer Simulator
So if that is true probably it will be 2 free games
Well the "control" guess sounded more reasonable.
Rumor is Control Standard.
Overcooked 2 next week.
Hell is other Demons as well.
Rumor was right for once. It's the Humbled version but it's free, not like with Humble.
Control base game
Now i feel bad for those people who got it from HB...
EDIT: happy cake day!
This comment was deleted 1 week ago.
happy cake day! :-)
Happy cake day! =)
Control says free but currently the actual page still says £23.99 for me
Click buy and it instantly switches to -100%.
Just add it to cart and check for Total. if said $0 ($0.00) Buy it if not wait.
need to wait few minutes to unlock
happy cake day
Yeah it's now showing -100% under base game now \o/
See what my RTX card makes of it now :)
so the developers and publishers of Control got themselves into a PR hell for nothing? wow. Imagine ruining your PR with a lot of people, and then proceed to give the game away for free.
I might be mistaken, but epic probably pay the publishers for the free copies they distribute. So it's not really free... just a marketing tool for epic.
How free nitro stuff works?
Edit: find out
Amazing, I would be saying this sarcastically if I bought the monthly tho.
Does this link work better for the world?
Y'all noticed the other big freebie this week, right?
whats is it? all i am seeing is genshin impact and thats already free
My bad, I didn't release it was free to play already. New to epic today though.
I have a funny feeling Metro Exodus is going to be given away for free on Epic. Funny feeling in my bones.
Why? Because Exodus was part of a Choice bundle, just like Control?
Yeah, definitely that and the other two earlier games were given away recently. I think Epic will bank on us purchasing the DLC over on their site vs on Steam since it's so much cheaper. It's a good tactic to "steal" us. XD
You might be right with this. Giving away the base game, hoping people will purchase the DLCs is an effective strategy. It already happens with the Choice bundle, so I could see Epic doing that. And, as you say, it'll be cheaper than on Steam since Epic is handling 10$ off coupons too.
Although, personally, I would prefer something else for the next freebie, as I have grabbed Exodus from that HB bundle. And already played it. (no ragrets, loved it!) ;)
Yeah, I agree! Would love another game, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess. I welcome the competition between the two companies, though. We all win in the end.
Current Deal: Control Standard
Next Deal: Hell is Other Demons and Overcooked 2
Thanks, also the list still says Mystery Game instead of Control just fyi
Next week ¿?
If true, those would be great.
Yeah, thats what i saw on other site... Hyped about Sonic.
It was spot on!
