No, i'm not begging. There's actually a GA at the end for your troubles.
Just want opinions for First World Problems, lol. :)

I could make 3 separate threads for 3 different polls (might still do that later just for the polls, but for now i'll leave a poll for the mouse only).

This is also gonna be a long read, no way around it, i'm afraid. So... sorry about that.

And especially... thank you if you did bother to stomach reading it and trying to help out.

But try not to throw something random out. It's ok if you feel you're even less informed than me... and thus, inform me as such.

Regardless of the poll for the mouse, first and foremost, because a graphic card i really must get, as mine got busted:

  • 1) The Graphic Card (skip to the end - already bought it)
My GeForce GTX460 went belly up (FML), so i need a new graphic card. Running a spare GeForce GTX285 temporarily, till i get a new one.
My budget is highly preferably somewhere inbetween 100-150$ (roughly 90-130€ / 65£-100£). Obviously it's a rough estimation of the budget, but don't really want to go crazily above, especially for little performance improvements. May consider pricing above, if there's significant bang for my buck.
Here's a few suggestions i received (store links are just for reference, as i can probably get them cheaper on another merchant, i just happened to find them all more easily in that merchant, that's all)...
Feel free to hit me with different ones and why, or to explain why you'd go with any of the following:

EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB-

HIS Radeon R9 270 2GB IceQ X²-

Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB-

Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB Tri-X OC-

MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V-

As a sidenote, my brother is running a GeForce GTX 780 Ti (which is quite expensive, as at least 1 or 2 of the suggestions above i received). How much better is its performance, in your opinion when compared to the likes of say, a GeForce GTX 750 Ti? Worth it?

  • 2) The Mouse
Well, first i want a mouse that's cunfy, because big-ass-mofo mouses are not my thing, they get really uncomfortable pretty soon, pretty fast, in my past experience. My hands loathe big mice almost as much as they loathe gamepads.
Secondly... a little of a touchier subject... :/ That is also of vital importance to me... i've got pretty sweaty palms... Yeah, yeah, go ahead and crack some TMI jokes :P (or you can always make suggestions to alleviate the issue if you happen to have same issue, i'm all ears).
And... it really, really shows in summer time / moist pre-summer time. Yesterday (knowing this) i had just washed my hands with cold water before sitting down to play, 5 mins into playing CS and i was already sweating like god knows what. Ugh... :/
This is my current mouse, a Logitech MX500. Don't get me wrong, it's cunfy, it's definitely not bad, it did its job... for the most part... but it's pretty outdated, slightly mistreated, and the perspiration issue was always aggravated on this mouse, due to its surface. So when considering suggestions, consider my perspiration issue as a really important factor, if you are aware of the kind of surface the mouse you're suggesting has, that is.
Here are some suggestions i received:

Corsair M65 Series

Logitech G502 Proteus Core

Razer Deathadder

Roccat Tyon

Razer Naga Epic Edition

SteelSeries RAW

Mionix NASO 7000

Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury

I have to say of the top3 most suggested out there, i was more inclined to the Logitech G502 or the Razer Deathadder, for different reasons. Also, because i'm not a fan of the inbuilt mouse acceleration of the Corsair M65 (my brother has one, and i don't really like it, but never really tried to get used to it or configure it differently than he has). And as far as to my knowledge, it's not an issue with the G502 or the Deathadder.
Biggest point of contention with the G502 is... it looks kinda big. Dunno if it's not as big as it looks, which would make it a non-issue. Looking (merely looking, yes) at the surface of the two though, i feel more inclined to it than the Deathadder. The Deathadder looks like it would be really cunfy... but also looks about as plasticky as my MX500. :/
I've heard some mice have some anti-sweat surfaces, but know very little of it, so if you know anything about this, that would help as well. :)

As a sidenote, could've included the Logitech G302s...

  • 3) The Keyboard
I've also just about had it with my keyboard for many reasons.
I've got a cheap run of the mill membrane keyboard that sometimes urges me to break it in half...
The damn key pressing sensitivity is so damn low, i find myself tapping Ctrl key accidentally often, which is innerving on certain games, especially on CS:GO / League of Legends. Despite the fact that i've been barely playing any of the two in the last months, part of the reason hinges on the keyboard and mouse. Crouching when you're not supposed to on CS is not exactly a bundle of joy in a duel, and having Ctrl pressed when trying to get abilities / actives off on LOL in a trade / teamfight / all-in / what-have-you is sometimes even more innerving.
As above, with the mouse, the too plasticky-flat touch of the keys makes the perspiration issue also aggravating. :/

So, i was considering, after a few suggestions from friends, a mechanical keyboard. Problem is...

A) Even after having read some info on them, i'm still clueless to what's better over what in terms of gaming experience. I've seen reviews saying that reds and blacks are better for pure response time and browns and blues better for double tapping. I've seen some people say browns are the best overall, but nothing to substantiate this, so don't know the reasoning.
Since i'm mostly worried in getting the most of them on a MOBA (here i think the keyboard is more important in a MOBA than on an FPS), double tapping is not really something i want, if by better for double tapping they mean to say an accidental double tapping might happen. Definitely don't want to have more Lee-Syndrome than needed, for one, that's for sure. And if better response time, means not having to deal with some abilities not going off (as if i din't really press the key that i know i did), as it happens every now and then with the damn crap keyboard i have (even if i'm not accidentally pressing Ctrl, i mean, obviously).

B) I have no idea which options to look at in terms of keyboards (and if at all mechanical is the way to go for me, for that matter). All i know... is they all seem to be mofo expensive. :|
So if you happen to know the cheaper / more cost-effective ones, please prioritize those. :)

TL;DR:

Thanks, really? :/
Ok, here's a forced GA.

EDIT: Got a 750 Ti at a cheaper price than usual for the graphic card (still better than the 460 i had, so... works for me, without having to overspend). Now for the rest.

Best Mouse (preferably for an FPS / MOBA / conjunction of both)

I don't have an opinion and i'm choosing this option so i can check the results without skewing the poll

Weighing in on your mouse selection, the G502 and G402 are roughly the same size (and shape) as the MX500 that you've been using. When my MX510 finally broke a few years back, I replaced it with the G400 (its spiritual successor at the time), and had to replace that a few months ago. I was debating between the G502 and G402, myself, and decided to go with the G402 based on price and features. They both have a matte surface, as opposed to the smooth plastic of the MX500, so they won't be nearly as slick. :)

Thanks for the feedback, i was a bit worried the G502 might be a tad uncomfortable, but if it's that similar in size and shape to the MX500, guess i won't have to worry about that at least. :)
At least comfort was never an issue with the one i have. Just the surface. :/

Thanks! ;)

It's designed to look much more angular, but the shape and feel in hand is remarkably similar.

Here's a top-down comparison to the G400 (which had the same body as the MX500), and here's a back view with the G400s (which is also the same body). The G402 is on the left, and the G502 is on the right.

Thanks once more, un-photoshopped home photos are much better to get a better idea of what to really expect, imo. :)
The surface looks oddly similar though, but i have read somewhere that the G502 coating is indeed matte, despite not being rugged like the Deathadder and alike for instance, it just has a more granular matte coating or what not (whatever that means :P).

The G400 and G400s used in these pics have a matte surface, while the older MX series like your MX500 and my MX510 had smooth plastic. The bodies are otherwise identical, though, so I was sharing these just to compare the size and shape.

With that said, though, the matte surface is somewhat subtle and offers some grip, but doesn't feel like a "rugged" rubberized coating.

Bumping and thanks for the giveaway! But I'm no position to offer advice. I have a 'Microsoft Wheel Mouse 3.0 PS/2 Compatable'. A generic Trust keyboard with some letters that get stuck after I spilled chardonnay on it during the 2010 World Cup. And a Radeon Sapphire 7750 graphics thing.

Haha at the spilled chardonnay. :)
You just sent me back through memory lane, through several pieces of hardware ruined or semi-ruined over several spillings of beverages. D:
All the way back to spilling soda on a floppy disk game from my Amiga, back when i played on one. RIP game i thought, seeing as after i let it dry, it (quite obviously i thought) stopped working. But then, oddly enough... and as unreliable as those things were, after 3-4 days, the game started working again. Like magic. Lasted for at least 2 more years. Go figure... :D

And it's ok about the rest, thanks for the bump anyway. ;)

I owned an Atari ST rather than an Amiga. My original ST died years ago but I do some sound production and I picked up a cheap Mega ST a while back and use it as part of my old skool MIDI set up. Recently I was evicting some squirrels from my parents attic and I discovered that the things had chewed up my old box of 3.5" floppies and integrated the contents into some sort of a nest. I brought the disks home. Dungeon Master and several others still worked.

On the other hand i remember some 20 years ago, copying a game i wanted that i found on one my high-school's work computers to 20 floppy disks.
Was so psyched about it... got home, CRC error at floppy 19, ofc. --'
Needless to say the game had been erased the day after. :(

I'm trying to remember how many floppies the first Elder Scrolls game came on when I got my first 'gaming rig'. I know it was a lot!

I'm trying to remember how long it took for a game to just load on my brother's old Spectrum... i remember there was at least one game that took roughly 30 mins just to load.
Sometimes, all the excitement and nail-biting for 30 minutes... just so i could play 10... :P

My first computer was a 48k Spectrum. I don't remember any games that took that long to load - maybe that was a thing on those fancy 128k Spectrums that had more memory to fill up?

I do remember a few 'multi-loader' games like Afterburner. Where you had to load the main game and then load individual levels and then if you got killed you had to go back and find the first level on the tape. Actually, I think those may have been the ones that you could load all in one go in 30 minutes if you had a 128k Spectrum...

Well, i remember at least this one loading for roughly a bit more than what it says on the video... :D

And here's the awesome game:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8uuCdZ6KuE

He did have a 128k, yes, and since i don't remember the exact circumstances of what it took to load a game for 30 mins, that could be it. I must have been like 6-7 at that time, so some bits and pieces are fuzzy. Those 2 gems above i still remember them vividly, although we used to spend more time playing Football Director, Arkanoid, Chucky Egg, 1942, Lotus Esprit. :P

Or KARNOV, can't believe i remembered the damn name... :D

Me and me friends played several football games a lot including Kick Off and Sensible Soccer - but I don't remember Match Day.

I do remember Arkanoid, Chucky Egg, 1942 and especially Karnov which was one of my fave Spectrum games. I'm pretty sure Karnov was one of the very late Spectrum arcade conversions and a 'multi-loader' on my 48k so likely that would have been a 30 minute load game on a 128k!

I played those two as well, along with Goal! on the Amiga which was the stray sequel to Kick Off 2 (in terms of naming), and such a damn fun game. But then again, up until a certain age, i pretty much played all football sims i could get my hands on. And quite a few football managing sims as well, i was mad crazy about it back then. :)

I spent a ton of time playing Karnov and since my brother didn't particularly enjoy that one, it probably is indeed the one that took me 30 mins to load, because it must be the one i snuck in to the living room to play every chance i could, when i was supposedly doing or had supposedly done my homework. :P
The fever for that damn game got me into so much trouble when i was a kid, no wonder i still remember its name. :]

Don't get the 750 ti when for same price there is an R9, and an R9 or GTX 970 is much better.

And for mouse do not buy Razer, I used a Razer mouse for more than 2.5 years, it won't last long, others are fine.

As i explained, i got it at a much cheaper price. If i could get a 970 for the same price as a 750, you honestly think i'd stick with a 750? :)
I know the difference in performance is quite big, but not enough to warrant me paying 3x more (which was the pricing i had available to me for both). I missed out on a very special promo for a 960 some 5-6 months ago, where it would have cost me roughtly 1.5x what i'm gonna pay for the 750, but that promo is long gone.

Bear in mind that not all pricing is similar in all countries / regions.

some R9 must be same price than 750 ti, and they are much better.

I don't think you still fully understood... :)
I got it at a much cheaper price than what it's supposed to be at normal market price. I got it on a promo. So whatever you think must be, really wasn't. The closest R9 i could get would cost me 80-100€ more. Yes, they're better, but not enough to justify 80-100€ more, not for what i need from it.
Bear in mind i was pretty comfortable staying with my 460 GTX for quite a while more, had it not gone belly up.

You might like the Logitech g400s mouse.
Also might want to look into cherry MX light grey, green or white
