Grimrock is a prison, where they just dump people in and forget about them. If you find a way out, good for you nobody cares. The real problem is that's an old-school dungeon crawler where your party will have to face a lot of unpleasant things in order to find their way throught a labyrinths of Grimrock. Puzzles, enemien, scarce loot - nobody said prison was nice. If you want to go full oldschool you can do that - but you'll have to take a pen and some paper, because nobody will draw a map for you in that case.
