As I can recall, my first racing games are in monochrome game watch/bot. But, some coloured version is Excitebike and Road Fighter by Nintendo.
Both NES game i mention can be found super-massively copied by China, reproduced, renamed, and sold in many different trademarks. The game is originally Nintendo, the consoles are incredibly various faked products.
Love 'em! Don't know why but it's probably just because it's something you don't normally get to do in life, like drive a car with machine guns strapped to the roof, or drive a car that turns into a boat or plane, or drive off huge ramps, etc. I suppose that would explain why I don't like the slower, more realistic games (like Gran Turismo) as much.
