Not sure I could say what was specifically the #1 reason I enjoyed it, but I did enjoy it a lot. I suppose it's likely because it mixed Final Fantasy with tactical combat, which is a style that I tend to enjoy a bunch.

A friend of mine gave this game to me and I was very excited because I'm a huge fan of the franchise, then I started playing and damn... Superb storyline and developmet, charismatic characters, amazing soundtrack, cameos from other FFs (Cloud from FFVII and Balthier from FFIX), It was the one of the best games from PS1 and I really wish that Square would someday make a sequel from this game, not from Advanced.
