When their games are reported to cost a ton of money, so they go for 45, 60, or 100 points here, because one of the bundles is on a 90% discount, so it is cheaper than the individuals games it contains. This is when many people suddenly have a CV increase, which then disappears when the sale is ending (only to come back in a few weeks when they discount their stuff again).

This game costs $19.99, but you need 60 points to enter the GA for it. There were also days, where you needed 100 Points.
I don't know how it exactly works, but there are Daedalic bundles, which are more expensive, so perhaps Steam "confuses" them.

Daedelic hates money so they make their bundles cheaper than their games. This causes sg to give you more cv per game than intended, thus temporarily boosting your lvl. This ends once the sale ends and sh resets the values.
