Did you know that when you create a giveaway can just add the gift link where you usually put the key? Or is there another reason you want to give the link per Steam chat?

No worries, i had thought so as well, but seems to only work with steam keys and humble links, its weird LOL :), but thanks for trying to help, no one ever need be sorry for trying to help.
