Why People still buying cod?

Because it's an easy shooter kids can play. Seriously, so many accesories that makes killing with 1 shot easy.

It's a fun game where you just jump in and shoot a few people. Battlefield isn't that down low kind of gameplay. In battlefield you really have to work and stuff, in cod you just sit back and shoot a bit. That is why cod is fun. I stopped buying after mw2 though because of the reason you stated. However playing in the free week i did enjoy playing black ops 2.

It's a good game for some, but not all. I think that WOW is the worst game ever made, but still 8 million people plays it. I like Cod so just because you don't others can like a good game.

Firstly, this opinion is very subjective and varries from person to person. As usual, som people find the story good, some find it bad, etc. The same goes for the gameplay.

I believe that some people buy it because they want to genuinly play it. Some receive it in gifts at Christmas/Birthdays.

The fact that there are so many people playing the games all the time just shows that there are people who really do like to play the games. I myself do not play the series very much. I played CoD 2, WaW, and BO a whole lot and I really like them! BO2... Not so much...

Now, if I may add my own subjective opinion to this matter; I actually think that the story in each game is also the strong point in the games. That is how I feel it is.

I bought BLOPS 2 because I like multiplayer. SP sucks, we all know that.

I think there isn't any online FPS worth playing besides CS:GO, DoD Source, Tribes: Ascend, Shootmania Storm, Quake Live, Red Orchestra/Rising Storm and NS2 (even though I don't like it much). Both BF and COD suck now, back in the day vCoD, CoD 2, BF1942 and BF2 were awesome but those were the good old days.

Im not a massive fan of COD, but I do play them from time to time. The length of the games is great for any time, and there's always an active online, which can't be said for many PC titles. I enjoy the social aspect of gaming just as much as single player. The game is no more repetitive then the likes of LoL, WoT etc, you pick a char / tank and kill others. People say that COD is just the same thing since Modern Warfare. Whilst this may be true to a certain aspect, there is enough updates to keep it fresh, if anything just a change in guns and maps. I imagine even if they didn't keep bringing out games they would still be doing great, look at Counter Strike for an example. Before I am called a fan boy, I am far from it, and if I had to pick between BF3 and COD, I would pick BF3 in a heartbeat.

Why not cod? Its a very flavorful fish. Especially battered and with a big gherkin and freshly cut chips. Mmmmmmmmm.

And why people buys BF? It's the same crap as CoD now.
Only bf2 was good, because of mods support.
My favourite fps games at the moment are CS GO and Arma 3, cause they still require skill and encourage modding instead of pushing thousands of shiny DLCs.

It's popular, which means that people keep buying the exact same game over and over again with few improvements. It was cool the first time around. Now it's pretty lame.

I'm actually one of those who actually liked the story of the MW trilogy. Sue me.

Well i find the black ops story to be more enjoyebel... sadly its too expensive and i wont get it soon :D And i like the zombie mode. treyarch are more creative.
