Humble must've felt that burn.

Looks like they addressed most of the complaints people have been having with Humble. Really nice for us as customers 💪

GMG is awesome, and so is competition. Looks like they brought over a big dog from Humble Bundle to run things. Cool news! Can't wait to see the first bundle.

Shots fired, Humble has dropped the ball so hard that getting what you pay for is somehow a selling point

Hoping that game quality would be decent.

With guaranteed key delivery / stock indicators, I'm wondering how GMG navigates "Big cool indie" giving them a 500 keys and "Sleeper hit no one noticed" giving them 5000 or however those numbers work... wondering if prices scale a bit based on bundle's partial availability or if every bundle feels shiny and new vs. "Yes, we still have keys for the Ascent. It's in this bundle too, dernnit."

Beware of region locks galore tho. Greenman Gaming has more region locks than Humble Bundle.

Region locks are decided and set by publishers, not stores.

Yeah, some months ago they mailed a poll asking all kinds of questions about what would matter most about bundles. Guess we will soon see how well they followed the advice.

Edit: Searched my mails, I think it was this one. They've sent it May 24th.

Woah. This could be amazing. I feel like they are going to start with a bang to establish themselves as humble bundle competitors. So definitely something to look forward in October. There is supposedly an image with one of the bundle covers and it looks like a game cover with a flaming sword but no idea what that might be.

Cool, let's see what they have in offer when it launches. More competition is always good.

GMG for the win. I've been using them for years. Always get great deals with them.

Just received a newsletter about it and chuckled to myself.
The highlights, especially the whole "guaranteed delivery" and visible stocks, are about the best dig I've seen in an announcement ever.
Now let's see if Humble responds to that and makes stocks visible...

Visible stock levels-

Finally!

Still, we'll see which games they have and the bundle's price. Although I am willing to pay more if it's truly a 100% charity bundle.

Potential Humble killer. Especially as HB has made it harder to donate the majority to charity, with a fixed floor on their cut and a default split between charity and publisher.

As much as that seemed unreasonable (and I think the cut they take is too big now) I understand why they made sure they got some money from the bundles. Often people would take all the money I totally agree that the default, even the minimum cut they get on some bundles is just ridiculous though.

My biggest issue with gmg had been that a lot of games that show up as available in my region suddenly become non-buyable once I hit checkout, and then it's whack-a-mole trying to find which game exactly is setting it off. Probably why I stopped making purchases from them.

Charity bundles will hopefully not have that issue, so I can see myself getting back on that train.

Well, let's wait and see I guess. It's always good having more options though:)

Muaahhaah, Die humble indeed, very long time customer of GMG, probably the best thing to happen to GMG getting Paul Herron that is. Humble don't deserve him.

Oh my

Guaranteed key delivery- Every bundle purchase includes instant key fulfilment

Yoooo

Regional pricing

Uh I hope that doesnt mean something like EU bundles costing 30% more (even with tax) like certain publishers have gone towards

Overall, really glad about more bundles. Humble and Fanatical have pretty huge share on this side.
I'm expecting huge banger to start the site with for sure.

Direct attack against Humble Bundle right there.

If they can compete with HB all good, but I’m concerned region restrictions and pricing might affect their utopian plan.
But having an alternative to HB and Fanatical will be nice after years of only really those two sites doing bundles (I miss Desura/indieRoyale, and the like).
I used to use GMG a lot more when there were more game sites, but I hardly use them compared to HB and Fanatical. This could indeed be a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stagnant bundle war.
