Now I feel bad for getting stuck at this one for so long and almost giving up.

Sure, now that I cooled off, I think my misadventure was really funny, I will leave reply to this comment in a few hours with explanation ;)
And don't worry, it was me thing, I get easily frustrated when something doesn't work that I believe should, and then its easy to get stuck in a rut. You guys organized amazing event, as for the d26 task itself, now in a hindsight it was pretty brilliant yet everything was right there from the start, so kudos.

So d26. This is how it went. Initial riddle was somewhat easy for me for most part (most part being important here). From the text I knew I need to look for the song on youtube. I Didn't get the cultural reference (I probably heard of dr. Dre, but not enough for it to pop in my head), yet I was lucky with my google search terms and the name and song itself popped up in 3rd or 4th try. So I went to youtube.

This is where my self inflicted misadventure started. If only I was slower in making assumptions, paid attention to all clues in riddle, and looked at things carefully, but no. I looked for the song, correct title pops as first position, but instead of just checking it I instantly switched to sort by upload date, because in my mind this was what the riddle was referring to in "imminiman by newest YouBOTe!" (this is where "most part" comes in). The first thing that came up was freshly uploaded cover by some rando, with no other uploads and almost empty profile, and the time was at first glance right: cover Bad coincidence, but to me it fit perfectly, so I went there. Listened to it thinking clues my be hidden in song, did some standard stuff like looking at profile, looking at name etc, some related searches in other places. It didn't help that et the end of song guy mumbles "diggity" and it sounded to me like "jigidi" which made me believe it was it.
Still after some time passed (I wasn't rushing at that point) and I didn't find anything I went back to search to make sure, I wasn't committed yet. This is where bad luck #2 strikes, because the video got re uploaded for some reason by other account, also mostly empty, exact same video with same description etc, and this was just amateur cover. cover 2 For me it made perfect sense, it was attempt by author of the riddle to keep video as a newest.
I was almost fully committed, but what cemented it, was someone posting as a hint in comments here in a form of guide to events on sg which has large part on decryption. And it was then that I noticed link in description of both videos (link to search on youtube) which had string added that looked lake base64 encoding. It made me fully commit and tunel vision for hours. Now I know that string is just standard youtube thing, probably encoding of search parameters. But at the time I was unaware of it and it made perfect sense it was hidden thing to solve.

I've done things to that string you people wouldn't believe. I 've dissected it, rotated it, chopped it, analyzed it. I watched bytes and bits glitter in the dark on my screen. All those moments will be lost in time, like my tears in rain that day.

Anyways as stated in previous comment, sometimes when frustrated i get absolutely stuck doing same thing over and over and expecting different result. ;)

So I wasted hours in vain, and in the end was to frustrated and invested to let go but luckily life happened and I had to do other stuff. And once I stopped it was easy to let go and give up. I checked next day just out of curiosity thinking it's over and wanting to laugh at my stupidity. This is when I saw one of comments almost spell it out, something about different new things or something like that, basically same hint I gave shortly after.

And It clicked instantly, It was in the riddle youBOTe, bots are in comments and I was like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. I just knew right away that it was the official video and I will for sure find the comment there, and I did, and it was easy. And I laughed for good 5 minutes, like honestly full on crazy laughter for 5 minutes straight.

Ant that is it. This is how small mistake, and assumption, and not paying attention can cost you hours if you are to stubborn :P
