How to send a gift?

click on the item in your inventory and it should say something like gift item or something

If you are trying to create a giveaway on this site, click the "Giveaways" button in the top left of the screen.

If you are talking about a Steam gift, go to your Steam inventory. You should see a "Send gift..." button. You can either send it via email or send the gift through Steam, after you add the person as friend.

there are two ways a game can be gifted:
1) you buy the game somewhere that's not steam, and receive a steam key (a 15 digit code that will activate the game in steam).
If the game has not yet been activated, you can give that game to someone just by telling them the steam key.
Some retailers (e.g. humble bundle) allow you to gift a link for the steam key. you email the link to someone, who can then activate the game (and may be able to regift it)

2) you buy the game in steam as a gift. You will then have an item in your inventory which is that game as a gift. This can be traded using Steam's trading system. Trading your game in return for nothing would constitute a gift.
Note that when you buy the game, you must mark that you want it as a gift.

First of all, you should delete that giveaway of yours. Regifting is not allowed on this site.
