Yes, small sample size and all, but I still found the results interesting.

  • 21% of voters use an automated backup solution (way more than I expected)
  • 53% store all their files on a single computer
  • Most people on this site (55%) don't know what SMART is. I do, and it didn't help me in any way when two of my hard drives recently died without any warning.
  • The preferred method for most people (57%) to open many links in a list, is to open them in new tabs, by pressing the mouse wheel.
  • Only 9% have an issue with white chocolate being called chocolate
  • 39% don't drink beer at all. I guess it has something to do with the age demographics of this site. Among those who do drink beer, 88% care about taste / aroma, with half of them finding the buzz important, but only 12% drink beer mostly for the buzz.
  • Only 3% of people get drunk from one drink, and almost third feel some kind of buzz (surprised again)
  • Medium-rare is the most popular way (27%) for people to have their steaks. The second most popular is Well-done at 24%. Personally, I won't touch either, and I'm not a vegeterian. Just not too fond of what I perceive (wrongly, I know) as blood and coal.
  • More people either both watch & practice sports (38%), or don't do either (27%)
  • Iceland (0.3M) kicking out England from EURO 2016 (round of 16) is the biggest sport upset from a small population country, at least according to 58% of voters
  • 17% of users here are Male and weigh 71-80 kg / 155-176 lb. 6% are Female and weigh 51-60 kg / 111-132 lb. Both are the largest group for each gender, with other users falling into less populated groups.
  • For 79% of people, their native language direction of writing is Left-to-Right. For only 5% (including me) it's Right-to-Left. Not a big surprise of course.
  • 88% of people don't fucking care when they see profanity
  • Boredom is still a thing. Most people (68%) experienced it today.
  • 58% like round numbers more than other numbers. The poll is still active, so the exact number may change...

There are 14 threads and 14 GAs linked above, and they're not hard to find. All are Level 0 with no restrictions other than no rule breakers allowed.

This one has no poll, but I'm planning a similar post for tomorrow about my more On-Topic polls, and I may add one there. I need to check with Dan Quayle if he's available first. Update: Part II is up.

Enjoy! :-)

Bump it! I participated in some polls, even if they are covered with dust and in some threads I commented too. :-p
Thank you for the GAs and your shared results.

Bump. And SMART has never helped me either, I've spent many days recovering lost partitions over the years.
