New steam profiles?

Ok, I haven't slept in 48 hours, but I'm sure I've seen something strange: I've opened my steam profile in browser and it showed some kind of new type of page - with blue-backgrounded header that had a place to feature a selected badge, with "level 8" written in big letters and all recently played games listed with progress bar! Also, I could see my friends being lvl6, lvl7, lvl4 and so on... I clicked on edit and now it's back to old steam profile.

Anyone seen this? Can't find the topic, but I'm sure I can't be the only one to spot this one, specially since I was away for 2 days.

The levels might be interesting. Other than that I see no point.

As with all things new, I will hold judgement until I try it myself instead of just pictures. From what I see, it looks like they fleshed out some features that were already implemented and added new ones.

They're further developing the social platform that Steam is clearly trying to become. I'm interested to see what new stuff they will add.
