If you use isthereanydeal.com or gg.deal search engines you'll get loads of info.

isthereanydeal.com uses only official resellers

gg.deals shows both, but you can filter for only official sites

There are quite a few

Any side that's listed on https://isthereanydeal.com/ is legit.
You can find a list of stores on the right side

for bundle sites
groupees - seems to not be so great these days but there is occasionally good BYOB's
ok maybe not a legit storefront anymore, I have had no issues with past keys from them, only have gotten two relatively recently so only time will tell, doubt there will be any issues though.

gamersgate, pretty sure they also sell non steam games to.

hmm I wonder if they are buying the bundles themselves and selling off the extras and possibly taking advantage of region pricing from elsewhere?

has me curious and wonder if I should ask idea factory the source of the 2 keys I picked up from the anime goddess BYOB(now ended), I have old trust in groupees from the past when everything was steam + desura keys, but if its turned into a grey market I might just stop checking them completely(was already rare for good pricing in the BYOB's).

Judging from the email response that lily sent (that was in the link i gave), i honestly doubt it. I'm not sure when you bought the anime goddess byob, but if it before groupee resurrected, it should be safe.if not, the i doubt it although it never hurts to ask if you want to do it.

I've never bought from that store, but there are games with region locks that are sold on there. If you go to the price of the game right above it will mention if it can be activated where you're at and if you hover over it with your mouse it will tell you where it can't be activated.

I've bought from Gamersgate, it's a good site.

I've also used GamesPlanet without a problem. I've actually used several of their European storefronts from the USA (without a VPN), they don't seem to mind and I've gotten slightly better deals (because their prices are not always exact matches across different currencies).

I've bought from the following with no issue just watch on some of them as they're not all steam keys, they could be epic or ubisoft, just make sure to read the sale profile.

Gamebillet
Gamersgate
GreenManGaming
Humble Bundle

+1

It's hard to beat GreenManGaming even if they've gone downhill over the years. They still offer some of the best deals and often too.

id say the same like others, isthereanydeal.com is great.
The websites/ stores they list, helps out the developers in terms of revenue.
Just make sure to check for regional restrictions, while buying from any of the above stores.

cdkeys.com

Edit. I didn't know it was a grey market site. Got some Monkey Island keys for myself. Good thing I didn't buy anything else from there. A big thank you to everyone for your responses!

OP was asking for official retailers. While CDKeys isn't a market place like many others, it is still a grey market store (unknown source of keys).

I didn't know that. Where do they get their keys from then? I got a couple of keys for Monkey Island games, activated with no issues.

Possibly credit card fraud/ stolen cards. They have the keys but money gets revoked at publisher sides with possible additional fines for them.

That's a grey market site .

Reselling keys and links to reseller stores. Do not use our site to resell keys, and do not post offers from stores which allow third parties to resell their keys or gifts. For example, do not ask others if they are interested in buying your leftover keys from a recent bundle purchase, or link to keys for sale on sites such as Kinguin, G2A, or Eneba.
