But some ads actually are actually intrusive and can be dangerous, or are simply annoying and bothersome. Feel free to disable them on sites you go to all the time, but whenever you're browsing around in unknown parts of the web (not just Facebooking and Tumblring), an Adblock can make a difference.

You don't seem to understand. You'd have to be submitted to those ads first, to know their bad, to report them. Blocking them prevents any possible trouble completely.

Did it almost as soon as I joined the site (after realizing there even were ads and who was running the site/how the site was being run). They're 90% gaming ads anyways, when you even notice them. Don't see a problem at all in letting them load.

As we all know, the site has had some trouble lately. I saw that cg said in the chat room that it's just simply not able to keep up with the load on the current servers. The next step up is about 2.5 times more expensive than the current plan.
I'm sure a lot of us just install ad-blockers and never think about them... but if it's a site you love like steamgifts (and steamtrades, steamgamesales), please whitelist in your ad-blockers (I had to do it in AdBlock, Ghostery, and Disconnect).
It only shows one ad, at the very bottom of the screen. I don't even see it most of the time because you have to scroll all the way down for it.
Let's give more than just games, let's give our ad revenue too!
