Earning Limit on Giveaways?

I put up my first giveaway yesterday and noticed that today my account point balance hasn't gone up, even after watching the entries in my giveaway increase. Is there a limit to how much you can earn per day or per giveaway?

You don't get points for making giveaways, you get cv. The giveaway has to end, and the gift must be given to the winner and marked received before you get cv.

Oh.. I had read over a points page last night and it sounded like you got some 5 or 10% of the points people spent in your giveaways. I must have misunderstood.
