Can't send a gift with the mail option

This option was taken with the new gift restriction?

I was almost sure that I saw this option at the beginning of the sales, but know i went to send a game trough that method and i can't find the option to do it.

So, my guess is that I've saw it wrong at the beginning 😁

You have to be steam friends with the recipient before you can send them a gift, I think.

in the past i remember that it was able to send the gifts without being friend with the person , guess now we cant

If you have old gifts remaining in inventory from before they changed the system (or from an extra copy/multi-pack) I think those can still be sent by email even today. But a new purchase only lets you select from your friends list.

valve removed the email gifting option, it's pretty much useless now.

yeah, thanks for info 😁. It was still useful for when someone won one giveaway here, but well, that's what we got now
