Yes, that's correct. I guess we can change the wording a little to make it more clear. Instead of calling it today's stamp we could call it stamp #1. If you 'do the math' so to speak and/or look at calendar it becomes evident that you can't get the 5th and 6th stamps before the deadline without spending money.

In fact, you should warn everyone to copy and paste their free keys elsewhere because HB seems to have started to remove/hide the key from view after the redemption date expiry. I don't know if the keys still work even after they've hidden it again.

they usually do work later though the previous free Company of Heroes 2 keys were later invalidated (presumably by SEGA) by making the keys come up as 'duplicated'. I seem to remember numerous people reporting this so it just seemed like too much to just dismiss as something isolated.

As far as I'm aware, Humble has always done that with freebies, be they promotional ones or ones linked to bundle purchases.
Typically the keys never expire, though. Probably not the kind of thing you'd want to test via a giveaway, of course. :P

I tend to activate the key as soon as you can claim it. As far as I know, humble bundle don't assign keys to you until you reveal it, so if they run out of keys, they will respond in the way they have responded to you.

annoying, if you ask me, but bearable in this case because I bought that game many years ago, that's why I didn't activate it in the 1st moment.

I only said I would be bringing this up with the my local consumer affairs and national competition watchdog about this scam/fraudulent promotion practices. It's not like I'm taking IGN to court ffs lol.
Will submit a complaint against humble bundle on Monday.
I got the promotion, it said key would be restocked, instead a day later the promotion info disappears from the page (5 stamp info) and 'key expired' 13 Sep, when no key was ever provided. The support also made out that they wouldn't be restocking it. So lies and scams.
Sick of humble bundle, they were so good a bunch of years back.. but no more.

I have no idea. For me, this seemed like a good time to buy Bayonetta and Vanquish since they're also discounted (€6,79 each) and they only cost me €1.83 in real money (the rest was wallet credit that I couldn't find anything to spend it on so far) so I already got the three stamps reward. If you have some wallet credit and see something nice in their store you could get the stamps faster, otherwise you can go the free route and hope for the best. Either way, have fun ;)

I finished both on PS3 and they were great games. I highly recommend them. For €0.915 each (in real money) it was an offer too good to pass. Plus, I got two stamps more so it was a win-win situation :)

I don't know but if I recall correctly you have to have a Steam account linked in order to get the free games so why not institute a level restriction? It seems like it could be one possible solution to combat abuse. Just make it a requirement for the Steam account to be like like level 10+ or whatever makes sense. Anyone who has invested time or money into their account (thus making it a real one) should be at such a minimum anyway. It would be even better if there was some sort of API to check whether the account is 'limited' status or not but I don't know if that's possible.
edit: I'm not entirely sure I buy the whole story anyway. It could be true but for all we know it could also have just been cooked up as an excuse by the dev/publisher not to give any more keys for The Tiny Bang Story.

There are people who don't care about Steam levels even though they spent hundreds on Steam on games, and it would be unfair to exclude them from these giveaways. No one should be forced to play the Steam leveling game

Well if you can think of a better solution then please share it. And I don't see that anyone is really forced to do anything.... I mean it's a free game that can just be ignored. I don't think it unreasonable if a little bit of prior 'work' would be required as a qualification to deter potential abuse.

Yeah, a required minimum level for the linked Steam account seems like it would be a good solution and way less arbitrary than going by country.
Yeah, it's not necessarily true but there was definitely something odd about it considering they ran out of keys for Meadow as well. I was just 1 day behind and didn't get one. In earlier promotions I managed to snag a key days later near the end of the promotion.

And rather quickly, at that. Same thing happened with Braveland in the previous round, as well, I think, given comments to that effect.
It looks like this promotion was heavily farmed (or bugged?) from the start, unfortunately.
At least here on SG we only had about four or five people farm the event, according to the archives, so we can continue putting the blame fully on the grey market users..
I'd have quite liked Meadow, but I don't really mind the situation; Rather, the only thing that irks me at all is the fact that Humble continues to list the keys as "temporarily exhausted", claiming they'll get new keys in. Exclusivity, mishaps, and exploitation are all commonplace considerations that can easily be dismissed, but it gets rather ickier when we're being lied to, regardless of context, intent, or severity.
Well, it's a peeve. :P
Anyway, not holding my breath on actually being able to claim any keys this final round, given how the first two went. :X

Yes, they can't after that point; That's standard. Companies no longer respond to individuals while there are current or impending legal involvements, due to the potential liability; All discussions are instead routed through their legal representative.
I'm also not at all sure why you'd go in that direction in the first place; Loss of a bit of time is certainly annoying, and misrepresentation of some of the details certainly sucks, but there's no [loss] of note, which means there's no grounds for legal action (or of any real negative sentiment).
