Won a giveaway, received a different game, what to do now? (RESOLVED)

Attempt to contact, 7 days go by no resolution, mark not received =/

Leave a message in the giveaway that you've received the incorrect game.
Do NOT mark it as received, since you received the wrong game.

If the creator doesn't rectify the situation, mark the giveaway as Not Received.

The user is permanently suspended. I doubt they are going to care about giving you the correct game now.

Some people ignore friends request on Steam, and you can't send a message on Steam without being friends, so try posting directly in the giveaway, it will flag him next time he's on SG.

It could simply be a case of copy/pasting the wrong key when he created his giveaway. His reaction could be to give you the correct key, or ask your permission to delete the giveaway (the mods will accept to delete a ended giveaway only if the winner also accepts).

If you continue to be ignored after 7 days, then mark the giveaway as Not received. DO NOT mark as received unless you get the game. SG checks your Steam account to make sure you activated any games you've won. If you marked at received without actually having received and activated the exact same game version that was given away, you'll get a black mark on your account (some sgtools giveaway check for these) AND you're account will be suspended for a set amount of time.

1. If you don't receive the exact item listed in the giveaway (or the exact item plus additional bonus content), then you mark Not Received. Whether you receive bonus content or not is irrelevant to the marking of Received, as that is based purely on matching to the item listed.
2. Leave a comment in the giveaway informing the GA creator of the issue. If you want, you can indicate you're willing to agree to a deletion in that comment; this will allow the GA creator to have staff delete the giveaway, as winner permission is required to do such. Otherwise, you can just leave the giveaway marked as Not Received permanently, or until the GA creator offers to provide the listed game.
3. Once the seven days have passed, or if the GA creator has indicated in their description that they're agreeable to it, you can attempt to contact the GA creator outside of SG. Outside of those circumstances, however, you typically should not attempt to contact the GA creator outside of SG (or pester them about the giveaway through any medium, outside of reporting issues with activation), as it's largely considered quite rude to do such and may get you blocked by GA creators who are not yet aware why you're adding them.
4. If the GA creator is permanently suspended, you should still leave a comment in the giveaway explaining the situation. However, so long as you're accurately reporting whether you have or have not received the content, the status of the giveaway has no bearing on you. Unfortunately, you'll presumably still have to wait until the 7 day duration is up to actually mark the giveaway as Not Received, but once you've done that, you can freely start once again entering giveaways for the game in question.
