How to buy game and have it in my Steam inventory?

So, I wish to buy some games from the Steam because the Summer Sale is going on. I want to have those games in my Steam inventory so that I can make some giveaways for those games. I don't know how to do it though. I only get the option to buy the game for myself or to send it to a friend from my friendslist.
