Can we pick software? Cause I wouldn't mind 'creating' stuff for the rest of my life.
Not many games have good ingame creation tools.

Would be kind of fun to also de-make current high resolution 2d/3d games into 2d rpgs ala rpgmaker software. (+the needed audio/animation/art creation/editing software).

Sadly I still can't pick any game, and I've thought about it for a good amount of time too.

Too many games I love from nintendo systems, let alone all the playstation and pc games I love.

Special would be awesome ;)

I'd take some open world game, maybe skyrim, stellaris and...hmmm a racing one, Project cars.

Ehmmmm quake3, red alert 2 (both with a huge amount of user maps) and a card game like solitaire or freecell or something.

Don't Starve isn't such a bad option then, obviously Skyrim and maybe Persona 4 (yes, on pc, i'm a bad person that emulates consoles).

But yeah, if I could apply -- I know this might be stretching it but as a kid my fave game had to be Othello. I have absolutely no idea why I liked it, there was just something satisfying about watching your numbers rise (or fall) so quickly. Of course, I was a dang kid and lost more than half the time 'cause I had no strategy, but I enjoyed it somehow nonetheless. Maybe because I got to play with my great aunt, who's no longer here for another round.

As i a kid i really enjoyed Red Alert 2, Age Of Empires, Need For Speed Underground 2, Tomb Raider and a lot more than i can't even remember!

Probably won't fit the requirements, but it's worth to try at least. :P

I remember having great times as a kid with the original Diablo, Quake 2, and the original Age of Empires. (Although that last one was really hard at the time... XD)

As a kid my favorite game was Rollercoaster Tycoon 2/3 and The Sims 2/3, that was the shit!

Favorites as a kid on PC were Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Settlers. One of the nicest features of Dungeon Keeper was to remind you to go to bed when you were playing late :D

I used to play some Sega Genesis games like Dynamite Heady and Gunstar Heroes when I was younger. Good times.

not sure i qualify but i'll try the same. i loved (and still do) rts games. starcraft, warcraft and command and conquer games would take hours out of my life.
