I'm suggesting that, for steamtrades, anyone who hasn't been on a for a period of time will have all their threads closed. Not only will this reduce the clutter of threads by inactive users that are still getting bumped by others posting offers, but it will help against impersonations.

I like this idea, let's extend it to SG too, since there is a lot of threadomancy that happens here as well.

The thing is, though, I don't know if it could be automated and I don't want to give the Support Staff more work than they already have.

Not in Steamgifts, some old bundle threads gets updates, CD keys added, keys revoked etc. People set it in those threads and if people who created those threads aren't active anymore well lets just say that it'll result in alot of spam.

Those are constantly updated, I'm talking about threads that have been all-but-shut-down for months even years and some doofus think it's funny to reply.

I figured it was something like that but I think people like MilleW, InquisitorAles, and a few others keep those updated:)

Maybe to balance out any thread that doesn't get a comment in SG for 3 months is automatically closed.
And if a thread on Steamtrades didn't get a comment for 3 months and/or not bumped for 1 month/3 months it gets closed.
