PewDiePie - Ruined Gaming or Saved Gaming?

You can't save anything by introducing it to 12 year old fangirls. You can only ruin it.
I don't think he changed gaming significantly though. While I think it's good that some indie games have gotten a little more popular because of him, I still hate how he behaves. He's so unnatural and fake.

(Trying to be objective here) A little bit of both. While he has managed to introduce gaming to a younger audience in a way that some might consider to be funny (remember the age range we're talking about here), he is also, in a way, introducing a younger demographic to a market that in the first place was intended for an older audience, which could eventually lead to more "childish" like games. (This is thankfully, a really far fetched interpretation of mine).

What i do dislike about his way of putting out content though, is the need to categorize his subscriber base, as if the internet doesn't have enough of those; now you have to take that new category into consideration, something that gets even worse when you realize that that category is mainly composed of 12 to 15 yr old boys and girls, so good luck having an argument.

He used to be good when he had 200k subs that's when I subscribed to him, He made funny videos and now he just quite much acts and ruins everything a lot.

What do you think?

he didn't introduced only fangirls,he also made videos about indie games when they were out,because of him now i know some indie games that i never knew before,you may not like his kind of style,but i think it's cool to see people who want to base their channel on indie games instead of other games like cod,battlefield,minecraft or fifa

He's done neither for gaming. Though I would say he ruined let's play.(Though that was going to shit any ways, PDP was just the final nail in the coffin.)

He was the person that made scare cam popular and now people use it even on games that aren't scary.

I hope Amnesia devs don't put a PDP Easter egg in the next Amnesia game...

I don't follow him or care much for his videos. Don't mind him though - some people are entertained and he presumably makes a bit of income from it, so good for him.

i like some of his videos, and it's a nice channel on youtube to watch while being bored, but i don't think that he did such change on gaming

I really don't get people when they say he (or someone else) ruined something for you because it became popular - you're all sound like massive hipsters who can't enjoy stuff if people know about it.

gaming wasn't in that situation that needed saving. And I do not consider him a valid LP guy. I occasionally watched his montages, but he really isn't that funny. He does not deserve the views he gets, and is extremely overrated. That's my opinion.

I like him, because he's not like usual Let's Plays and I HATE most of them because they tend to be boring and suck and even though PewDiePie is not a "good" gamer, it's enjoyable to watch him. (or maybe even because of that)
