if i activate a store buy i get some XP
But how many XP get i, if i activate a game from my inventory? Less or same as storebuy?
And get i more, when the game have a normal price? (after sale or any discount)

After a certain amount of games (don't remember how many, after 50 games or something), each game you add to your profile gives you +1 in game count, and 1 xp. Doesn't matter if you bought it from steam store, had a gift copy and activated it, or if you activated a steam key. Same thing with the price. It's all the same :)

Didn't want to make a new thread for this, but if you take a look at this page, you'll notice that the pictures for the highest level badges (lvl 15000+) are the exact same as some of the low level ones (7, 8, 9), and there is no new picture for lvl 18000 and above, even though StrikeR has already reached lvl 20000.
Yep, Valve couldn't be bothered to create some original .png files for people who spent a shitton of money on this thing. Hope they'll make some changes later, because their cheapness isn't even funny at this point.

Then you don't even want to know how long it took for us to get the 3K badge.. :) I had friends who almost had 4K games, and the highest badge was still 2K "Gaming God" a couple years ago.
Since then they at least stepped up and made more 'special' icons. Especially also for the event badges.

They don't care about customers, why would they? Guys like st4ck, striker or palmdesert spent shitload of money for badges and they don't even make new pictures for them.
I don't even want to talk about bonuses for crafting, They are here untouched for about 3 years? since steam trading cards beta, (emoticon + badge + coupon for one badge. Each 10 levels new showcase) But is it enought? Of course not. They should make something new.

True.. I really wish they would make new stuff.. Or let us at least use the same showcase twice.. I got lots of achievements e.g. that are hilarious, funny or pretty that I want to showcase. But it's not possible.
Plus there are only 15 different showcases in total, after that you get nothing. Useless lol. Would be nice if they would just do something new.. The no real event this summer sale was just icing on the cake in the bad way imo.. :|

Yeah, well, use same showcases two times would be fine, but still it's not enough compared to how much we spent for badges :-)
And about summer/winter sale? It used to be time when we spent lof of money for games and enjoy the whole sale, and now? Sorry, it's just overhyped shit, the discounts are funny, valve stuff are so lazy to create some minigame or real bonus for games we bought,(Back in 2011 you got free gift/gifts, in summer 2015 clicker minigame and now? for every 10$ you've spent you receive 1 card hah).
Also, with those prices like games had, you can buy them during whole year from sites like g2a/kinguin

Exactly what I meant. It's quite sad. The flash sales + voting for them were fun, the events like potato sack, the achievement hunting to get special tickets to win a big prize, the auction etc. were good times!
Now it's just a sale that's mediocre and nothing else.

So, this is finally happened, PalmDesert crafted over 3000 badges and becomes the first user on Steam that reached level 1000 - http://steamcommunity.com/id/palmdesert But Valve seems doesn't care, they even didn't have icon for levels beyond 999. What do you think about this?
