Nominate someone/something for a Steam Award (spend your points nicely)

The intention of this thread is to encourage people to give awards to those they feel they deserve. I said "encourage", nobody is forced to do anything or to agree with someone - I'd particularly ask to not discuss about the merits of a nomination; if you don't agree, don't award anything. Let's keep this thread positive, thanks!

Do you have some unspent points in Steam Point Shop? Are you tired of buying frames, profile packs, emoticons and whatnot (besides that special one you just discovered you need)? Do you have problems thinking what to use those points for? Want to say "thank you" to helping, nice, useful members of the SG community?

Here's an idea: make someone who deserves an award to get it! I've had this idea for months but somehow until now I've not dared to put it in public.

So, giving an award to who... How? There are two ways:

• Find someone, give the award.
• Find someone, nominate in this thread.

You can nominate in SG for being:

• Helpful users
• Active friendly moderators
• Great giveaway/train makers
• Excessively generous people with thousands of giveaways made and few or zero wins.
• Original and fun event creators
• Creators/maintainers of useful/interesting threads
• Just someone you think is nice
• Other reasons you can find

Things you can nominate in Steam (the user doesn't need to be in SG):

• A review (because it's detailed, it gave you insight about what the game goes, etc.)
• A screenshot (some particularly great capture of one of the game's best moments, or an extremely beautiful shot, etc.)
• A guide (for achievements, walkthroughs, faqs, detailed mechanic explanations, etc.)
• A workshop item (you know, that one that changed the way you play the game forever)
• A post in the discussions (helpful for fixing a common game error, etc.)
• A profile (something specially original, beautiful, creepy, wholesome, etc.)
• Other stuff you can find (etc. & etc.)

You can't give an award here in SG, but you can give it to the user in Steam. And in Steam you can give the award to the user, or to the thing that was neat (screenie, review, guide, workshop item...)

You can also suggest what kind of award(s) the user or item could deserve, repeat old nominations if you think they're worth more awards, just use your imagination! There are a lot of people who deserve some little thing to make them smile.

Or you can just give a personal award without nominating to someone who just helped you with some question here or there. It doesn't have to be public.

My first nominations in no particular order (don't hate me if your name is not in this list yet, just the first names popped up in my damaged head):

Ozo2003: long train running (among other events and interesting music).
SensualShakti: for endless efforts in keeping those ultrahelpful bundle charts.
Dohi64: amazing reviews in puzzle games, the group and curator, the magazine, and puzzle giveaways.
Lugum: musical giveaways and more.
Jbondguy007: for keeping up with the positiveness.
Dubnio: for helping with keeping up with the positiveness.
Garandro & MeguminShiro: for starting and keeping up with the LootBoy thread.

These aren't only nominations; I just gave each an award just before making this post. Where to give an award? Find the "medal" yellow icon. In most Steam places (posts, reviews, workshop items) it's at the top, to the right of the user name. In the profile page, it's next to "add friend", or "message" if you're already friends (both top right area).

As a final note, it's my intention to not be nominated. This is not some elaborated excuse to see if I also get some awards. Please don't nominate me, thanks.
