Hey, pretty dumb question, i want to start using a joystick for playing PC games, but i have never do it so i dont know if it have to be a special controller or it can be a PS2 controller, i have one, and i find an adapter from it to USB so i think it could work but i wanted to know if it will work, i mean, are they any drivers for it needed? or any other thing that i should be worried about ?

You will most likely just need to map the controls for it, it should be recognized as a HID.

I would love to be able to buy on amazon, but sadly the importation system of my country is the most awful shit ever in the history of shit ever, i bought some products from ebay on december of last year and i havent heard a word from the customs (because the my country is so shity that i cant even get a 10 dollar product without them bullshiting about national production and shit)

Try plugging it in and see if the computer recognizes it. You can always use something like Joy2Key to turn the controller inputs into keyboard inputs.

Umm.....I got nothin'.

Oh neat, thanks!

edit: Oh not so neat, why is that it was wrong? :P

Without the adapter in hand, you can't plug it in. :S

I mean, that method should work...otherwise there's not much point to the adapter itself if it doesn't let you interface with the computer.

I play the same way, you might need x360ce for some (or most) games

some games need extra configuration to work unfortunately. I did manage to play Dark Souls with it working perfectly

I still use my PSX controller. Yes, Dualshock 1. It works with most games, I just need to use x360ce, the program mentioned above.

I have one adapter that i bought years ago on eBay.
It looks like the same as you want, for 2 ps2 controllers, like the blue one on AdamZombie's link.
I just need to plug it and Windows recognizes it.
The only game so far where i needed to use Joy2Key is Pure.

I use this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121381035284
It's cheaper and doesnt need drivers, works pretty well in "Direct Input", but if games doesnt support "Dirext Input" you can use the X360CE software to emulate it as XInput (xbox360). https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/detail?name=x360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip

If someone was interested, yes it worked, that generic pice of plastic worked :D IT is a SEISA twin adapter and it even came with a driver for the vibration, i tested it with two games, Sonic & all star racing transformed, this worked perfect after i configured the controllers on the options and with Dark Souls:PTDE and with this well, every botton, does something but i have yet to discover how to change the botton layout
