Region Restriction in FAQ.

It is like option 2 that you said above "If I have a game WITH OTHER REGION RESTRICTION NOT LISTED ON GIVEAWAY CREATOR PAGE, it should not be given away."

So if I buy a key that cannot be used in Germany, or Australia, then really I should not create a giveaway for that game, because it is not a choice in the giveaway creation page for region restriction, and even if I put the restriction in the description box, I can't actually stop someone from those countries entering.

I could take the risk, of course, but then if someone from those countries DID win, I would have to buy another key/gift for them (or get 'not received' on my account.

Oh, and lastly..

If you WON two giveaways, you can't regift them anyway on this site, whatever region they are :) If you cannot use them because of restriction or lock, then you should ask the creator to give you a key or gift that CAN be used by you. But if the giveaway was properly created with Russia region lock (Russia only) then, if the site was working properly, you should have seen about it before entering, and the creator is not to blame.

It does not matter where are you from, it matters if the region restriction can be selected on SG when you create the giveaway or not. Also, you are not allowed to regift or trade a won game.

You can't trade or make GA with won games...

You should write to GA creator to make reroll instead.

Should read:

Region restricted gifts and keys are allowed for a select number of regions. If you have a gift or key from a region other than the ones listed, it should not be posted at this time.

Pretty sure FAQ just wasn't updated and didn't noticed you can make some region-resticted giveaways, so wording is a bit outdated.

Your 2nd point is a correct one - you can make region restricted giveaways as long as gift restriction isn't smaller than what SG offers (so if you have "Brasil only" gift/key, you can't make giveaway for South America region, but if you have Both-Americas key, you still can make it South America only giveaway).

So, if your keys are Russia ONLY, you can't give it away - you'd get into problems if someone from Ukraine or Armenia wins it.

you can trade them for something you can use (but RU region gifts are always super cheap so you won't get much from them) or you could create a region GA and get CV.

i also have some region-locked games (some from a friend that gifted them to me for my bday... sad thing is i can't activate them so i ended up buying a row copy, didn't feel right to send them back... :( ) and others that i got trading (my fault, didn't check the gift description -_- ).
i might create a GA when i feel less lazy. xD
