I use a g4 as my daily phone, and my old nexus 4 to try out various new roms (that phone's pretty much unbrickable)
Phone history:

  • About 3 basic Nokias, including a 3310, and a nokia flip phone (can't remember the model, all dead, including the 3310)
  • Motorola Razr v8 and another motorola flip phone (can't remember the model yet again, lost one another one's lying around somewhere)
  • LG Cosmos (slide out keyboard, alive, sitting in my drawer)
  • LG Nexus 4 (very much alive, used for testing interesting roms, i.e. Ubuntu Touch, Mozilla OS, etc.)
  • LG G2 (dead)
  • Samsung Galaxy S3 (dead)
  • LG G4 (current)

Well, I got my first phone after finally caving into the "It's the 21st Century you need a phone" and got the most cheap, basic pay-per text "dumb phone" you could get, That beast lasted like 7 years, so many drops, abuse and grime. (Remember the days when batteries lasted like 3+ weeks? Ah, yes.) I was familiar with Apple products, I have an iPod and iPad, but I HATE iOS 7+ WITH A CUMBERSOME BURNING PASSION so I decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy S5, and I am loving it! I love that it's waterproof (makes cleaning it so easy), I love the openness (Android FTW), I love the replaceable battery (A new one is like $10 on Amazon), and most of all SD card support (So many storages n' bytes n' shtuff).
TL;DR - My first real phone is a Samsung Galaxy S5. Although the App Store on Android isn't as great as Apple, it's a little rough at times, updates take forever to roll out and the battery isn't as great as I wish it was, I really do like it.

I hate the Samsung Galaxy S6, Seriously. iPhone 6 much? Not waterproof, no SD card support and no removable battery? That SUCKS. When I get my upgrade, I'm going to check out the Samsung note 5, as long as they don't ruin it in the same ways they did with the S6. (If you're reading this Samsung, please don't ruin another great phone...)

I do have some questions for you guys/OP:
1) I heard from a friend of mine who upgraded to the latter, that the HTC One M9 sucks compared to the M8, can anyone who has owned both comment on this?

2) The LG G4 does seem to be awesome from what I've seen, It's what I'd get before any other Android phone, especially the S6. For those of you who own one, how do you like it? (Hey OP, how do you like your G4?)

Thanks!

I have a Nexus 4. It's not in the best condition. The glass back shattered shortly after I got it, which was about a year and a half ago. About 2 months ago I dropped it on cement and the screen is a bit weird now, it's hard to read small text and when I open pictures or video the screen gets a lot of coloured lines covering it. Other than that though it's still working great! :x
I've been thinking about replacing it but so hard to decide with what phone and if it's worth changing providers.

I don't have one anymore, just broke.

However, I might look for a 10-year old Nokia 9300/9500 Communicator in my basement.
Or my old Nokia 8210.

Nexus 4 at the moment. Used to only use Apple phones, but found the light. I'd like to try the Nexus 5 once a little more information comes out about it.
