Question about giveaway 'slots'

Hi guys, I tried skimming the FAQ again for this but maybe I missed it?

I'd noticed when a sucessful 'gifting' happens, you get the slot back and a new available one. But it's not one to one with giveaways with muliple copies?

I recently gave my group some multi-copies giveaways, but I only got a couple of extra slots. So a giveaway with (3 copies) takes three slots to make, but only gives you one new one when completed? Or is there a cap to slots I've hit?

Not a huge issue, because I don't have anything to give away right now, was just really curious.
