What's the cheapest place to get Watch_Dogs? My friend bought the Russian version but was pissed because Ubisoft locked Russian-only language into it,so he can't play it in English. He wants to find the cheapest way to get an English copy for PC without breaking the bank. Any help is appreciated

You can get it on eBay for $30 but it's Uplay, I think.

+1

The place where i preordered it.
No Steam, but i don't care, i just want to play the game.
I guess this is like any other Assassins Creed. You want it or not, you will need uPlay to play it.

This is my attitude as well. The people who piss and moan about Uplay versions can pay double the price for the same game just b/c its Steam. You still need Uplay and you can always add the game to Steam anyway so you get the overlay and all that.

So the Russian version is not region locked, it just has Russian language?

Edit: as I see it is.

Cheapest place to get it is on Steamtrades. You should be able to get the Uplay version for around $30, maybe a little more, maybe less. Lots of people have the Nvidia promos for sale or trade around that price.

You're not going to find the Steam version (which you still need Uplay for anyway) cheaper than full retail for a while.

As ZerbaDerb said above, the cheapest way to get it is to buy from people who sell Nvidia watch dogs redeemable code which comes along with purchase of GTX 760 and higher cards. I got it for about $25.

You could wait and be a pirate xP but that would be bad.

Cheapest place? Steam, all you gotta do is wait a few years..... in about three years you can probably get it for five bucks.... but if you are willing to wait for the summer sale then you can probably get it for anywhere from I'd say $20-30 depending on how hard the company wants to go about sales strategy.

I doubt Ubisoft will allow steam to give it away for cheap. They're more likely to reduce the price themselves so more will get it for uplay rather than steam

Retail box pre-order in my country is about $28. It's Uplay but will release a little late (10 June, according to local game store). Not sure if it's country-locked, though.

GMG using the 20% voucher and credit (yes you can use both, I checked. You cant use cred with specific vouchers [like 25% off ones]).
I can pick it up for a tenner but I dont want it badly enough to blow all my saved credit.

Tried using the 20% off voucher with credit and didn't work.

"The voucher you have applied cannot be used in conjunction with GMG Credit.
If you would prefer to use GMG Credit, please remove the vouchers.
Unable to add the voucher"

But i was able to use the 25% off voucher instead with credit and the final price is 30GBP

Just wait until the sale price for the GOTY version drops below $20. Should only take 2-3 years.

Reasons you DON'T want Watchdogs.
1- Ubisoft. Worst support company on pc.
2- Uplay. Extra DRM.
3- Ubisoft.
4- Ubisoft.
5- Well, you know what is coming next.

Sorry, but I hate Ubisoft. You DO know that they will either not be able to fix any bugs, make worse ones per patch or completely drop support for the pc version within 6 months.
