Request: clearer description on "Create a giveaways"

If they are a first time user and they create a fake giveaway cause they do not understand the concept they are giving rather than receiving I may be more lenient and suggest a permaban.

I agree with what OP suggested. By adding this extra checkbox, it would help in reducing fake giveaways mistakenly created by new users.

Nobody would read the checkbox.

My suggestion: On everyone's first giveaway, make them type in a captcha that says "I am giving away a game, not getting one." I expect that would have a much higher success rate.

If they can't be bothered to read the FAQ, they'll click anyway. I made anti-jackasses measures such as this to make sure only users who met the requirements would enter my giveaways, guess what... Reroll galore anyway. Okay, maybe not on the giveaway I put as an example, but on some others.

I've heard that the SGv2 Create A Giveaway page has been rejiggled to make everything a little clearer, though I've not seen the changes myself.

Once SGv2 is live, I don't see any harm in adding a nagging little checkbox for those who do not yet have a giveaway that's been confirmed as received, however the kind of users who skim read an already rather clear form are also the kind of users who blindly tick checkboxes.
