its wonderful i love it more then minecraft personally i didnt need to use a wiki but you can if you want and btw its much more fun if you play with friends.

I thought it was horrible. I bought it because a lot of people talked it up. Played for maybe 20 minutes. Uninstalled. Maybe just not my type of game.

Played it as it came out and kind of liked it, a 2d minecraft like game with a few twists of its own but unfortunatly they started to throw a ton of monsters in and it became unplayable for me. The focus shifted from building stuff to monster killing and weapon crafting. Imo bad design decision...

As to being a great game or not depends on your preferences, for me the current game is bad because you don't have time to find your way around the controls before the night sets in and then you are dead. In Minecraft, the night is dangerous too but the amount of monsters is a) less and b) configurable.

Great for $2.50

I bought it for $2.50 a couple days ago. Absolutely worth it. Even for the $4.99 it is now, you still can't go wrong. The game is very overwhelming at first, and as a result I was originally skeptical when I started playing. After a few hours, it's hard to stop playing. You never want to stop adventuring and exploring in (or under) the world. If you have some friends to play with, it's even better. My suggestion is to find some friends and buy the 4 pack. Then, go dig.

Yes! It's different from minecraft since minecraft is more building oriented, but terraria is more fighting and building.

If you are into minecraft type games then you will love this one. There is so much to craft and explore and lots of enemys and bosses and you build your own town to get you npcs who will sell you stuff and do other things for you. There are different biomes in the world and each have their own unique enemies to it. If you have a friend id recommend playing with them too since it makes the game more fun and id recommend getting it now since they are releasing a new update soon which adds more items to it its pretty sick what they are adding and the mods are nice too i havent used one yet but most are great to have since most will add more items to the game and change how it looks like one give you a fallout type of terraria game and they even put the power armor in it!

to me it is pretty good, it is similar to minecraft but more action oriented. Best with friends.
