(Sounds... hardware-ish? Maybe the blu-ray laser isn't getting all the way to the end anymore? Dust the machine out? Can't really say for sure. How old is the player anyway? Amazon have anyone -- with that player -- with similar issues?)

Haven't seen similar resolved issues but haven't looked everywhere. I think I've had it for a year or a year and a half.

It just stops, completely random points, generally around halfway. Plays DVDs like a charm. It used to work and I need it to because it has surround sound that I cant use with my other player. I've restarted and whatnot and there isnt a firmware update, It used to work
What do.
EDIT: More or less resolved. I figured out a way to play the discs on the other player but the sound on that one so that works.
